Post by Pdog on Aug 23rd, 2010 at 8:10pm
for instance, street fighting man's revoltionary images and words...
giimme shelters war descriptions.
heartbreakers detailed slaying by cops...
and of course ramblers first person portrayal of a serial killer.

any others pop up, the only other one i can think of is undercover.... what else...

tie you up pain of love, maybe?

A sizeable chunk of 'Undercover' and 'Dirty Work' have quite violent lyrics - when questioned whether it was distasteful, Keith snapped "well of COURSE its distasteful. If you stop writing about things because they're distasteful, you're reduced to writing about things like...embroidery!

That's a great quote. True, Undercover was violent in every way and the only Stones album lacking a proper ballad. The only "love songs" are Keith's "Wanna Hold You".

Another from undercover is Too Tough. Not exactly the most violent but it's got some violent imagery, with the girl who haunts Micks dreams with a kitchen knife.
