  • "You're not in the band you formed anymore, go back to start position"
  • "Customs busts you with 30 oz of smack, pay one million and play a free gig for the Monopoly players you're playing with no later than the weekend"
  • "Your wife fires you, date a Russian waitress, go 10 positions forward"

A friend was given the BEATLES Trivial Pursuit...he says it's not fun to play...
because you have to play with fan who know the the "trivial" things.

i imagine you caould not play the RS edition unless you weere at a pre show summit or the like.

The Monoploy thing is the same way...if you don't watch the Simpsons...the references on the board are so stupid sounding...
" Pay Abu 10 dollars for a chocolate donut"...HUH?!?

Who would possibly play this except a group of old Stones fans with no life sitting around on a cold winter's night.

(That might actually be a lot of people but they don't all live near each other!)

Have to admit I'm curious about the questions asked though.

Stones start up Monopoly craze

Roll me ... Stones launch their own version of Monopoly
Simon Czapp/Solentnews.biz

By RHODRI PHILLIPS
Published: Today

ROLLING Stones' fans will be exiled from main street — if they pick up a 'Go To Jail' card on the legendary band's very own version of Monopoly.

The Stones's take on the classic board game sees traditional place names such as Old Kent Road replaced with the names of the band's iconic albums such as Beggar's Banquet.

Instead of a thimble or a shoe, players are given a set of devil horns, a reference to hit single Sympathy For The Devil, or wild horses to shift around the board.

A set of tumbling dice is naturally included in the set — and the community chest and chance cards feature famous titles and lines from the band's songs.

The four train stations have been redesigned with the names of the band's tours such as Urban Jungle.

Start me up ... fans finally get what they want
Simon Czapp/Solentnews.biz

Rolling Stones fan Jim Carrell, 48, said: "I've been a fan of the Stones all my life and will definitely be going out to buy this version of Monopoly.

"They are one of the best bands ever, with an incredible back catalogue, and definitely deserve to be paid tribute to in this way.

"Monopoly is the biggest game in the world and it just shows how important the Stones are that they were chosen for a new version of the game."

The iconic Monopoly money has been changed to concert tickets while houses and hotels which players would traditionally buy are now gold and platinum records.

Whereas in the past players would have to cough up after landing on the income tax and super tax squares, they now have to pay for concert tickets and stage set up.

The water works and electric company are now drums and a guitar.

They can be mortgaged for $75 (£49) each and contain information about drummer Charlie Watts and guitarist Ron Wood.

Monopoly is celebrating its 75th year and is the world's best selling game, available in 103 countries and produced in 37 languages.

Presume thats the same as 'Snakes & Ladders' over here.

The possibilities are endless with that one. You could make a whole game out of the rs.com pre-sale/fan club DVD clusterfuck. The only difference being that no one who didnt know any better would believe it was realistic.

Imagine, you scale a ladder to square 93 which reads 'You have won a fan club DVD. Now throw a '7' to have it delivered'.  And then you realise there's only one dice.

Where do they FIND these people??? They're unlike any music fan I know. Is there some kind of day centre for empty headed Stones fans? Or has Cohl and co kidnapped some of them after a Fan Asylum excursion, kept them in a cellar for ten years and brainwashed them into parroting this Kim Jong Il-esque shitwittery at the drop of a hat if there's a journalist about?
