Title: Lantern, no subject. Post by Lantern_High on Jul 30th, 2010 at 6:15am
I quit, maybe is a bad timing, but I'm too tired. It's not worth I'll keep on with the treatment and I want got home from the hospital. Septmber is too far, too pain to stand.
I cant count on anybody, you have to get by just by yourself, without expecting help or anyhting else from who you barely know. I've tried, but is unbearable. Lucliky I've to thanks few people on this board. They know already who are without the need to named them. I've see what does really means the friendship for you. it doesnt exist on the Stones' communities. I give up and all has to come to an end. I will let my accounts to a friend of mine together the pc. has becomes useless for me. [IMG]http://i991.photobucket.com/albums/af31/brtn6rgns87/Everybody/happenings/02mickkeith.jpg[/I |

Thanks to everybody. But I got different matters to resolve too, not only if I have to continue to cure my cancer.
And in all this nobody can help me. I think to be the biggest idiot which can exixt on the face of the earth. I was a silly if I thought to could find friends on a music board. I will think about and this evening I'll decide if I've to give away the pc to my friend Rosy. (Rosanna) Sorry if I've bothered you. But I wont still be a problem for as the admins and you all. yes LJ was that the pic that I've havent checked well b/c I were too upset. I still I am. Is not a big deal if I go. I enjoyed this board, really. No ones looks to this. You all are very special people. I will remember you and keep you in my heart. |

You're not a problem to anyone. As I said to you in a private message, dont get too worked up about this whole thing about 'friends'. As Tumbled says, there are easier ways to make friends than via message boards. Use this board and others like it as a kind of 'distraction' from real life - dont put too much emphasis or importance on it. If you do that and keep your expectations a bit lower, you wont end up feeling disappointed or let down. Hope to see you back posting on here again very soon. You know you're very welcome. |

Title: Re: Lantern, no subject. Post by Ian Billen on Aug 1st, 2010 at 6:35am One bit of advice I thought of after my first post. Six words: Support Group >>Support Group >>Support Group. Join one specially for cancer patients if you can. They are all over. Ask the hospital where a local one is and how to join or get in contact with them. You will make friends, get to tell your troubles, get some emotional issues off your chest, and you will feel like a part of something special. You'll find out your not the only one goin through a real rough time and their are friends you can make that will support you in the flesh. Take my advice ... it may be the best thing you could do for yourself. Hope to see you here some time again as well. Ian |

Don't give up! As for 'friends' on a message board, sometimes we can be just what you need. On a message board, you get a broad spectrum of people and many of us, if not most of us, have a connection to someone as yourself, fighting the fight. We understand and empathize in a way that people in your own life may not be able to. I've been reading your messages to see how you were doing, so don't stop now.....
God speed! |

Lantern, you are not a problem to anyone here.
I deal with a chronic illness, which I know is not the same as yours and I won't pretend that it is, but I also know there are days where you are simply sick and tired of feeling sick and tired. The daylight at the end of the tunnel is nothing more than a penlight and the depression of facing another day of feeling like crap, or worse, sets in. As difficult as it is, you can't let that get you down. Ian is right, find a support group near you. There are days when you need a voice on the end of the phone or a human being sitting next to you to cry, vent or scream at to get past the worst of the bad days. A message board can't do that for you every time you need it to. Keep up the good fight hon! Ang |
