Title: NEW Manic Street Preachers Album !! Post by IrelandCalling4 on Jul 15th, 2010 at 6:27am
Gospel choirs, massive 'pop' rock, Duff McKagan, Tim Roth on the cover - all included on "Postcards from a Young Man" - new Manics album!!!
Check this for info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Postcards_From_a_Young_Man After 2009's excellent "Journal for Plague Lovers" (and the magnificent mini-tour where they played the full album), their 10th album "Postcards from a Young Man" is out September 20th - tour starts Sept. 29th in Glasgow. No Irish date yet. Advance word says this album will be like 2007's "Send Away the Tigers" - full of huge guitars, melodies; a classic Manics album! |

Looking forward to this album...Plague Lovers was massively disappointing, so I hope they bounce back with this one...

Yep, got my tickets to see them at Brixton Academy. This'll be my 5th Manics gig and they excel every time.
I thought Journey for Plague Lovers was a fine release: the most angsty, violent and tight-sounding release since The Holy Bible. |

a band that, more often than not, produces high quality music, both on disc and in a live setting.
For me, Richey Edwards is still much missed. A sublime lyricist. Motorcycle Emptiness is always a thrill to hear, even after all these years. |
