Jagger joins education charity bid
(UKPA) – 58 minutes ago

Veteran rocker Mick Jagger is to take part in a charity scheme aimed at promoting education for underprivileged children.

The Rolling Stones front man will join the 1GOAL: Education for All campaign.
The Fifa-backed scheme aims to boost public awareness that millions of children around the world have no access to education.

1GOAL brings together footballers, fans, charities, corporations and individuals to lobby for change.

Jagger said: "I am honoured to support 1GOAL. I love football and to raise awareness that 72 million children are denied an education through this global sport is truly amazing.

"I want to urge you - even if you are not a football fan like me - to sign up to this campaign and help leave a legacy from this World Cup - to get every child into school."

Here's an idea or two.

1. give back the millions and millions of dollars spent lobbying (ie: gifts and whores) in obtaining the right to host the World Cup.
2. Donate a few bucks from ticket sales from the next Stones world tour
3. Ask Bono for a loan

I think it´s great he´s doing this. As much as I like the man, I just hope he won´t start to support our Dutch team, since everybody is talking about "the curse of Mick Jagger"!! ;D

Good for Mick. His public profile has improved vastly in the last few years and i hope it continues. He seems, dare I say it, mature.

Is it just me or does it look like someone got a little scissor happy with Mick's bangs? Maybe he trimmed them himself while his hair was wet and they shrunk up on him when it dried.

Very nice! This is an indication MICK really gives a shit about poor kids getting an eduacation and playing sports! So I guess MICK himself donated a large chunk of change to the cause! Score 1 for the JAG!
