I know this is cool for Paul McCartney and maybe U2 can do that like they are some what a Walt Disney band or something ...but The Stones aren't like that.

They are The Stones and it may be kina cheezy and silly for them to do that. It's not in their image to do certain things. ABB stage with people on it up top is cool but to have someone out in front jumpin around like it is Bruce Springsteen's Dancing in The Dark video revisited at a Rolling Stones concert may be a bit campy...

Might not be the Stones cup o' tea {although I can see this having happened at some point in the band's history}, but I think it was actually really cool. :) Yup----I would have come up on stage if Sir Macca had asked me to. :)

Jagger doesnt have to buy anyone's love, unlike the cardigan wearing Macca.

A real rock star that knows how to treat his fans!

I don't understand.  Who's desperate?  The fans?  Paul?

I don't think so.  He has millions of fans all over the world!

I just think it is because he is a loving and caring person who is considerate of his fans!

P.S.  Also, on his website, Paul occasionally post messages for his fans to read!  What a sweet man!

No Mick Jagger does'nt need to buy anyone's love. He charges his fans enough that they feel like they're getting screwed anyway. :o

We are getting screwed. But funny how we still come back for more & giggle like schoolgirls when some thing new is announced.

I still maintain Stones audiences are way cooler than McCartney audiences.

But i think Who audiences are cooler & maybe 14.5% tougher than Stones audiences.

Ac/dc audiences (here in Oz anyway) are generally toothless or topless.

Some Stones audiences I've seen are both. Unfortunately its the women who were toothless and the men who were topless and not the other way round.

Yep, the Stones are too purely 'rock n roll' to even think of trying any gimmicks which would be campy, silly or cheesy!

I have never seen Paul McCartney in concert.  I have seen the Stones several times.  The fans vary in ages, from teenagers to senior citizens.  I think it depends on where you sit.  The younger people usually sit in the cheap seats.  A lot more drinking and smoking going on.
The older fans can afford the more expensive tickets, closer to the stage, and things are more orderly.

I don't like stadium concerts.  I prefer auditoriums or small clubs.

I think a reason for not connecting like that with fans is to keep people thinking that the members of the Stones are untouchable  "Rock Gods." If they let people on stage and tweet and do webcam chats they would just seem like ordinary people. A big part of Rock n' Roll, I feel, is the mystery behind it all. I bet that's why Led Zeppelin won't go on tour. They can't recreate the aura and vibe they used to have. That's also why there aren't any new rock stars anymore. My 2 cents...

Yes!  I guess you are right!  That is why I was blown away when Paul McCartney, LIVING LEGEND, invited that Mexican girl to dance on stage with him!

P.S.  Have any of you ever heard of a German band called "Tokio Hotel"?  No?  Neither have I!

But, apparently, they have a lot of fans who actually cry when they meet them!

Ha!
