Happy Memorial Day Weekend! Another excuse to party but the real meaning of the holiday is to honor our heroes who have given their time, thier efforts and their lives to serve their country. Thanks to the men and women of the armed forces, wishing them peace and some satisfaction knowing there is a holiday to remember them by. Thanks!

I am not a big flag waver...but I totally applaud them for the job i would NEVER do...
Living and club managing in DC for so many years,,,i have seen many of our boys, yes boys...come thru to party w/ lost limbs and mindsets higher than i could ever imagine...a thousand times stronger than me...i know...i had to take a quick break many times into my office to, uhm, freshen up and wash them tears away... Happy Memorial Day to the families whom have lost a daughter or son in these horrible conflicts of recent years. |

I live right across the street from the Golden Gate National Cemetary. A veterans cemetary. It's tradition every Memeorial day weekend to have local boy scout troops place small american flags next to every grave. Never fails even after all these years when I drive by it and see all those flags next to the headstones to move me. :booze For my boys! Two of my 'other sons' (guys that served with my son in Iraq) are being deployed to Afghanistan within the next two weeks. So, Chase and Wojo, here's to having a beer on my deck next May.
My heart felt sympathies to all that have lost love ones in war. And eternal Thank You to all who have served their country. |

We just can't be thankful enough....the ultimate, supreme sacrifice, for man and country. Thank you seems so inadequate---but I know we are all extremely and humbly thankful to ALL the men and women, over the years, who have given ALL so that we can continue to enjoy our freedom.
