Sixty-six-year-old Keith Richards feels he has finally grown up

Sixty-six-year-old rocker Keith Richards has admitted he finally feels he has grown up.
The Rolling Stones guitarist said he still enjoys a good night out on the town but would now prefer to stay at home.
He said: 'People always like to make you all very cut and dried and simple - 'Oh, he's a maniac'. And I can be, when I have time for it, but I'm also growing up. I pace myself. Even I couldn't be that kind of Keith Richards all the time.'
He added to Classic Rock magazine: 'When I'm at home I do as I'm told. 'Yes darling, no darling', like any other guy. But I know there's a streak in me that, given the opportunity, will show you what Keith can do.
'I've never felt driven to live up to this image they've made of me. That's a mug's game, a sucker shot. But I don't mind using it occasionally.'

and this statement just proves everything i have thought about him for the past few years, i dont get how some people think he still drinks and parties every day, he'd be fucking DEAD if he did, i guess some people really dont think he's human...or they just dont know anything about doing drugs/drinking

just because he used to shoot alot of dope and drink alot and snort alot of coke doesnt mean that he is still doing that... i used to shoot alot of dope, drink alot and snort alot as well and im sure as hell not doing that at 48...even if i didnt have Hep-c... but i run into people from my past and they dont believe it...they still think im getting wasted all the time...

once you get a reputation as a hard core partier it's very hard to lose it... and in keef's case he just uses it to his advantage... ah haaaa good for him!!!!!!!! he plays it just like Dean Martin used to LOL

Aside from being cool, a great guitarist and rocker, KEEF is a good husband too. You gotta love that! :-*

In all seriousness, She did save his life didn't she? In the Stephen Davis book it seemed that way. Real love does some cool things for wayward sons like Keith. We got a couple of productive decades out of it didn't we?
