I was checking out a band called FRUIT BATS tonite...when the opening band said something about this...very sad...heart attack...RIP Alex
He was to play SxSW this year...very sad!!! |

Awful news. I urge anyone who hasn't heard Big Star/Chilton to check it out right now. He was quite a pop songwriting mastermind. Let's toast to him and let the lyrics of the Replacements' "Alex Chilton" ring out.
