March Madness is here. The big dance. Bracketology. Daddy's got office pools to fill out. Cabbage to win. Spring break to pay for. It looks like Kansas  is a legit pick to win. They do have a tough bracket with Ohio St in there. As deep as the Big East was during the regular season. I really don't see a lot of those teams going deep. West Virginia looks good,maybe Georgetown and Pitt. But I don't think Syracuse will make a deep run. Anyway,I will gladly take any and all advice in my pursuit of a March Madness pool win. :willya

But hey,little St Mary's college from Moraga,Ca won. So that was cool. Look out 'Nova. Here come the Gaels.

Big East overrated?  Compared to what?  I would love to see the record Duke, Kentucky, or Kansas would have playing in the BE.  St. Marys or the most overrated team ever (Gonzaga) would finsih well below .500.

The Big Least went 1-3 yesterday and should have been 0-4. Pitt better watch out for Oakland today and Syracuse might be the first ever #1 seed to lose to a 16.

We can't make assumptions based on a tournament where one loss means you're out - it's why we love it.  Is Ohio really a better team than GT (whom I detest, living relatively close to DC)?  Hell no - they shot the lights out, in one 40 minute game, and probably could never repeat that performance.  But it was unforgettable, as it should be.  Only 57 brackets out of 4.7 million remain perfect as of 12 noon Friday - crazy, huh?  Looks like only the #1 seeds are safe, and that's only until next week..

Yeah I'm one of the 4.7 million.LOL. I started out 8 for 8 and ended up 13 out of 16. I went from tied for first to 29,000 place. :o

Yeah,it cost me a few more gray hairs though. Those kids from Cornell put up a hell of a fight. I might have been able to afford 2 Stones shows if it wasn't for Syracuse laying down like dogs. Somebody want to tell me again how good the Big East is. :smoking

I ALWAYS bet against jim boehiem in big games. He has a great regular season track record, but SU always chokes when it counts, except for the one year he won it out of 40.

Hail the underdogs tonight ('specially SMU and Purdue) - how are my fellow ROers watching the games this Friday night? (a rare blend of Friday night + significant sporting event)

The slipper didn't fit any more for St Mary's. But they had a good tourney. Plus Baylor is for real.(had a bit of cabbnage on them as well). Not doing too bad on my bracket. Got 6 out of the elite 8. I think the chalk wins today. Take the Wildcats. Both of them, to win today.

So Duke Does it, and the Brackets are over for a year.......Damn it was fun will it lasted.

What to do now?  At least the weather is nice for a while.  Baseball season starting?  Eh, we need a tour....
