Post by Boomy on Mar 2nd, 2010 at 12:46pm
So...what have you bought and what are you looking forward to?

The only albums I've purchased from this year so far are:

Odd Blood - Yeasayer
Ain't No Grave - Johnny Cash

Some albums on my radar:

Beat the Devil's Tattoo - BRMC
Valleys of Neptune - Jimi Hendrix
Brothers - The Black Keys
Exile Reissue
Big to Do - DB Truckers
The Strokes new release (hopefully)
MGMT - Congratulations
STP's self-titled
In the Dark - The Whigs
The Dead Weather (rumored new album this year)
Interpol (recording new album--not sure of release this year)
White Crosses - Against Me!
Kings of Leon - possibility of a record coming out later this year

The exile redux

the raw power box

I didn't know about the darkness on the edge of town redux (thx gazza), but since that and Nebraska are my fave boss titles, I will be picking that up, too. When is it released?

Also, I am very excited for the new truckers album.

I also just got Gil Scott-heron's new one, I'm new here, and I like that quite a bit.

Oh, yeah. I'm on the year-delay plan, too, if I'm lucky!

Not confirmed yet, nor is the content, but its widely expected to be available around June, to coincide with the album's original release date in 1978. There is likely to be a full length 1978 show on DVD with the package.

Jon Landau said a few months ago it was "about 93% finished".
