I don't think so... first check the main page picture, he loves the fact thet We (fans) are only in it for the music but them are only in it for the money (Hi Michael Cohl)

Second, we have spaces for the other 7 members and even for some sessionists but NOT a space for him (the whole website is in one way about him and his band)

Well, but we all (admin and regulars) do by far more for them than those managing the official website, well they do a lot of money we share a lot of passion, information and news

I never noticed that before. The link for Mick goes straight to his "personal" website (which appears not to have been updated since 2007).

I knew somebody who was a close friend to MICK (he sadly passed away in 2007) and he told me MICK did stay up late at night visiting the various Stones boards. He gets really mad at some of the shit people post too. Yeah, MICK has feelings too! I know MICK reads the boards, or he did a for a few years anyway. Not sure if he still does but I bet MICK still does lurk when he is awake at night, on the computer. He posted on his own board under a fake name. PM me if you want to know what name he used. I dont want to get MICK annoyed because it was/is a secret. KEEF doesnt read or post on the boards. RONNIE also reads the boards. Charlie doesnt.

Interesting.

I personally find it very hard to envisage Mick Jagger, legendary lothario and social butterfly that he is, having nothing better to do with his time in the wee small hours of the night than sitting in his dressing gown, cup of cocoa in hand, anxiously clicking on Stones message boards to find out what's being said about him or his band. The image is pretty hilarious!

I find it even harder to envisage him losing a minute's sleep over it either!

He was asked in an AOL interview around 97/98 (one of those ones where fans could submit questions) about whether he ever read message boards and he said something along the lines that he occasionally took a peek and would get a good laugh at some of the fights.

I'd imagine the novelty would wear off pretty quick, though!

That admission was one of the worst things that ever happened to the 'official' Stones message boards. It was the perfect excuse for scores of unbalanced lunatics (usually hormonally imbalanced women) to flood the boards with utter drivel in the delusional belief that he'd be reading it and might whisk them away for a lifetime of idyllic pleasure. One absolute mental case actually used to bombard me with about ten e-mails a day because, due to the fact that I was providing some tour updates for fans (whilst the official site weren't bothering at all), she got it into her head that I might just be Keith Richards.

Yep, thats because it's a website for Mick Jagger, the solo artist, who effectively hasn't existed since the release of his 'Very Best of' CD in September 2007.

Rs.com has basically ceased to exist as an info & news site since the last tour ended in August 2007 - the only things since then being the news over the Shine A Light premieres in early 2008, which has been the ONLY band activity in the last 2 and a half years.

I know. Apparently the 'dead giveaway' was that I regularly used expressions or slang which only someone from the UK would come out with. So that 'proved' I was Keith, apparently.  [smiley=rolleyes.gif]

No wonder the Stones have bodyguards.

Well, somebody (Chuck?) must be reading these boards.
'Can't You Hear Me Knocking' and 'Sway' would seem to be proof of that.

Axl Rose actually posts on a G 'n' R message board.

When the Message Boards were just starting up, thats when MICK was looking at them and trying to stay current. MICK always needs to be hip and trendy! So when the Internet was the new trend, thats when MICK was sitting at his computer and reading the boards! Yeah I am sure of it, and I am also sure MICK was annoyed by many of the stupid things people post about him and the Stones! Eventually it may have brought him to the point of no return, but MICK is curious by nature and wanted to know what people post about him. MICK is extremely aware of his public image, not that he will alter his actions but MICK wants to be thought highly of by almost everyone. Thus his wide range of friends includes everyone to The Queen of England to the dirt poor fans on the streets of Brazil. MICK needs to be popular and stay current! MICK can never retire, he just has to be part of the newest, biggest, trendiest and best the world has to offer. MICK always has to stay ON TOP of everything! IMO.

You seriously think Mick Jagger would be 'at the point of no return' about what a few insignificant twerps like us are debating on a fan site? Please tell me that was a joke!

You're right about it being when the message boards were starting up - and thanks for saving me the trouble of looking for that photo!
.
However, Mick's never even met the Queen and I can't imagine too many Rio street urchins from the set of 'City of God' would be on his radar either.

If he needs to stay popular and be current, one way of doing that would be to release some music occasionally...

Hope you're reading THAT, Mick...

Yes. Especially Keith. I mean, he talks all the time about wanting to play till he drops. Well he aint dropped yet but what does he do in his off time anymore?

I tell ya, it's been like 1 studio album from The Stones in 13 years. They have toured tons in that time span. We know that. We get it and it's immensely supported and greatly appreciated. But man, wheres the studio work anymore?? They better have a boat load of tunes between them due to all the lack of inactivity studio wise is all I can say. If not geez. I mean, seriously ..... what about writing and recording in the new Millennium guys? Did you forget?

I'm a newbie here at rocksoff, who just had three hours of class cancelled and is way to tired to go home, so I'm sitting here going through the threads. And I know that as a newbie, you should just shut up and keep your head down, or you might lose it. But keeping my head down is not my style. (it makes it more difficult to bite people)

The question in this thread does not seem to be so much about wether or not Jagger approves of the board and what is written here, but more about wether or not he personally uses it (or any other board).

Who cares? The only thing that I care about when it comes to people on messaging boards is if they're and the content the post is funny, interesting or stimulating in any way. Who they are in "reality" makes no difference to me, wether they're Mick Jagger, Jesus Christ, my neighbour or my mother.

And if Mick Jagger or any other stone where to read or post on this board, or any other, I hope they get a laugh out of it. Because in my experience, people on messaging boards tend to be a little bit insane. And if you people ain't yet, I'm sure to drive you there.

Now THAT'S a statement of intent if ever I read one! Welcome.

Being a little bit insane is a prerequisite for posting here.

Just saw that you're 17, almost identical age to my daughter. A very warm welcome to you, Marja D, how very nice to have a really young Stones fan join this asylum! Have fun, try and avoid political threads and watch the "old lechers" around here. If anyone of them offers to meet you after school, let me know!  [smiley=wink.gif]

PS: Leftie, you just made me snort my tea out through my nose, thanks for the laugh!

Personally, I don't believe that Mick ever reads this board at all. Much too busy making money and climbing the social ladder or finding shoes with concealed soles that make him look taller. But kids, if you want to believe it, be my guests.

Never underestimate the power of self-delusion....

Thank you. :)
No one has come with any offers yet, but I might accept if they did give me any.
I always enjoy playing with my food before I eat it. *casually cleans away a piece of skin that was stuck on my fang*
