Title: RIP John Murtha (high riffy content)
Post by Starbuck on Feb 8th, 2010 at 3:08pm
john murtha has passed away.

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/us_obit_murtha

riffy's obit for the rat press was extremely touching. an excerpt:

"murtha's tireless crusade for truth and justice in congress, and his unflappable and steadfast patriotism in this time of war, was perhaps his greatest achievement. he will be long missed!"

I will refrain comment towards a person who has passed away.

that is a comment, and it is clear how you feel... not commenting at all, is how to do it... why shouldn't you say how feel about a person the day they die, as you would the day before? let alone, act like you're not speaking your mind, by saying you're not saying something... whatever that means...

Would it kill ya to honor his service to this country in Vietnam, anyway?
RIP, Col. Murtha.

I'll say what I want, when I want, as well as not say how I feel when I decide the time is not correct for proper comment.  When I think I will have a comment of importance, I will broadcast advance notification.  Keep an eye out in other threads for clues to where & when I will provide such comment, so these comments may be read.  I will attempt to provide 48 hours notice.  I'm under the impression that what I say is of some importance, as others have chosen to comment on the fact that I've decided to refrain from comment on this topic.  I've said enough on this topic for today.  I may have more to say on other topics tomorrow, or, in 36 hours.  Which is less than the aforementioned 48 hours.  I feel, at this time, that a possible comment will be due at that time.  In any case, please stand by, as everything I say is worth pressing the on button on your computer, allowing the small icons to appear, then clicking on one to allow a browser of your choice to be opened, to select the web page for Rocks Off, this thread, to read my comments.  I could choose to comment on this topic as part of another topic, however, in retrospect that would violate my original post to not comment on this topic, thus, I will honor my original statement to not comment towards this topic.

as mentioned previously, by 2014 all RO regulars will have a nellie quote in their sig.

coincidentally, nellie is also organizing a RO cruise for late fall of the same year.
