Thanks so much, Voodoo, UrbanSteel, and friends! I had the pleasure of being at this show with Gazza and it was just fantastic. The Madrid audience was tremendous, and the Stones were giving it all they had. One of the most enjoyable shows I've ever been to in my life, and I'll never forget it.

no doubt it is a great close up study of keith richards. but the problem i, and probably others, had with this stage was the people front and center couldn't see anything worth a damn. when i viewed this video i noticed had keith not been within 3-4 feet of the stage edge no one would see anything....if any member would have stepped back you wouldn't see any of them....and they wanted 5 hundred dollars + for that......... [smiley=huh.gif] if you notice in the video all one sees is from the knees up.
when i found my 1st row b stage seats at giants stadium i was lucky enough to be way off to the side so i could see the main stage AND the b stage, but i heard a few people bitching and moaning that were smack dab looking straight onto the b stage that it was so tall they couldn't see the main stage, only the screen. :whydontcha |

I love it! He's pretty much dead at the beginning but that riff is like an electric shock for him.

Thats more a reflection on where the taper is. We were in the front row at the rail to the side at this very show and the view was great. I think our tickets cost about €90. There's no way on earth I'd pay $500 to see anyone. Certainly not in a venue any bigger than a theatre. And it was the best audience I've ever been in at a Stones show. |

Keith was actually all over the place on about three songs that night, at different parts of the show.
I still enjoyed every fucking second of it. |

Title: Re: Madrid Header Post by GotToRollMe on Feb 6th, 2010 at 5:24pm Yep, this was shortly after "the coconut incident" and Mick was keeping an eye on him. You can even see Mick give him a cue at 2:03. At the end of the song, he just kept on going, but it was great to see him enjoying himself so much that no one cared! Great, great show. |

I love how Keith does that "Ohhh this riff is so hot it's burning my hand" move of his.
No guitarist in the history of rock has ever looked so natural handling the axe. And if yah dispute that - well fuck off with you then... |
