Not bad, but apparently this is just some (clever) remix by a DJ (Danny Howells ?) who added a bass part ?

To me this sounds more like a studio rehearsal,you can hear ghost guitar,and the ending is pure studio stones.

The bass line can't be original surely !

Apparently it is. It's ripped from the video game Rock Band, which has multitracks, then edited. This remix does a good job of showing what a killer bassline the song has. Neat stuff.

And NOT forgetting Keiths guitar sound with tremolo,,,or what its called in english.Ex sound.I think the BEST sound keith has ever used,so clever,yet simple but also
difficult.

Every time I hear that I just think, what a great sound, I love that guitar effect he's got, it makes the song stand out.

That bassline doesn't sound like Bill, was it Keith in the original one? Where did you read that? Is there a better quality version circulating ?

No idea if theres better sounding version,but i will burn this to cd,and remaster it,try to make it sound better,altough,computer speakers doesn´t say much.

Here's another one I found on Spotify (http://open.spotify.com/album/5XB1fbGDHxSTw7O8wAaDrd) from a mysterious "Rolling Stones Instrumental Renditions" CD dating back to 2008 apparently. Not the original tracks it seems but pretty well made.

i like it.  i just wish it pronounce more of that instrument at the beginning of the song it sounds like someone is winding something up.  what is the name of that thing?

I like her cover of Southern Man better.  I agree that her Gimme Shelter could use a little more punch.

I had Audacity on my old hdd that meant i could strip back some great songs like Gimme Shelter, Wont get fooled again, more than a feeling. Just listening to the bass/drums of shelter was amazing!
