Rumor has it that keith has recently quit drinking? Is there a heath concern here? Does anyone have any info to this, this was aquote from Marianne Faithful.

Find it hard to believe myself. Maybe he was trying to clean up for a tour, although no doubt, in light of recent events it would have been enough to put him back on it again!

My guess is that in Keith's world quit drinking means no spirits but wine and beer are ok.  And huge amounts of weed of course.

That's certainly been Ronnie's idea of sobriety more than a few times in the past (well, guinness instead of beer). Seriously.

From MF's interview, published in yesterday's Daily Telegraph:

Her only drugs now are anti-depressants and cigarettes. The drinking stopped over a decade ago. Not even Keith Richards has a drink these days.

"He's not drinking anymore and he's well. I go and see the (Rolling Stones) shows and see everybody," says the woman whose first hit, As Tears Go By, was also the first song written by Jagger and Richards. When she sees her former lover, Jagger is polite and "nice".

"We are still a little distant but it is nice to see him. He's lovely. They are all still a part of my life."

It wouldnt surprise me if KEEF stopped drinking after his head injury and he especially if he is still taking medication for it. Dont forget KEEF was scared by the whole ordeal and maybe it gave him a renewed respect for his life and health.

I think you're right about that Albert, except for Ronnie, he certainly doesn't drink occasionally, & I don't think that Mick smokes.

It wouldn't surprise me if Keith has at least slowed his drinking or stopped all together.  I'm sure Patti, the kids and grandkids give him plenty of inspiration to stick around.
