Post by Kilroy on Jan 8th, 2010 at 7:27am
No matter what you think of him, as a King of or Just a Rock N Roll Singer from the 50's, Today he would have been 75.
Elvis lives here in our Hearts. Happy Birthday ELVIS

Avatar changed for the day to mark the occasion......

Greatest singer ever and the one performer I'd have traded almost every show I've been to in my life to have seen just once.

Happy Birthday! the King for sure, I never seen him live but I know some guys who went & saw him, & they said it was the greatest rock performance they ever seen, in fact before that, they sort of made fun of Elvis & the whole Vegas act, they sure changed their tune after they seen him.

Many, many thanks.  He was young, beautiful and counting down the days until we met...or so I imagine.

Priscilla is putting on an elaborate display at Graceland of his clothes and stuff to show the public to celebrate his would-be 75th birthday. She still looks good, she was on TV today acting like his dedicated widow. They showed his 2 grandkids and they look just like him!  She said Elvis would be happy about the display she put on for him. Guess she still loves him even though they were divorced when he died.  :'(

oh, that photo of Nixon & Elvis, that was a joke, Nixon thought Elvis was the all American clean cut boy who never took drugs, he had a campaign to be against drugs to clean up America against unwanted Rock Stars who were alleged drug users, a bodyguard reported Elvis was high when he saw Nixon that time, I forget what it was, Elvis to be a narco agent or something.

Yes, it was a joke, but unfortunately, for Elvis, as he Thought his drug use was Ok, Since he was taking the Drugs for a different reason than to pleasure himself to get high. He of course was lying to himself and everyone else. Nixon was caught by surprise when Elvis Showed up unannounced, But was talked into seeing him, cause it was thought it would be good for Tricky Dicks image.

For Kilroy  :)

Let me go on record by saying it took a whole lot of rational thinking to stop me from busting the glass and rubbing my thigh up against this suit....

That, and the fact the bond money would have been nothing to sneeze at!

Been to Graceland, Kilroy?
It's a must see!

A definite entry to your Bucket List, Kilroy ;)

Make the time and just do it.

Been there twice - and I'll go a third time whenever Gazza gets his ass back this way and wants to make the trip.  Something tells me the man will have an 'out-of-body', lol... and I ain't missing that for the world!

I SECOND that!  Go Kilroy!

Graceland is awesome.  And Pam, I'd love to join you when Gazza makes it over for the tour.  There's nothing like Graceland.  Sun Studios too!

Martha
