I saw that. I wondered if it was an official release or if it was supposed to be a secret.

There was an interview (in French I think) that interspersed music and Mick Taylor talking a while back.
The No Expectation portion showed Mick playing a beautiful solo. Hope that shows up sometime.

To this day, my favorite Mick Taylor No Expectations solo is from 2003. France again . . . (Marcq-en-Baroeul)
A private video exists . . .

This dvd was released in Europe about a month ago.
Includes a documentary from around 1997.

i don't think i'm really all that interested in Mick Taylor outside of his work with the Stones.

he is a shell of what he once was and quite frankly it's sad.

he quit the band to stay alive and i'm happy he made it to the other side of this millennium, but his work is just really....bland.

it's a damn shame because he was at one time quite talented and could have probably parlayed his Stones past into something hip and right-on, ala Warren Haynes and his Allman Brothers association.  instead he just sat around for 5 years, recorded a boring solo album, worked with some other high profile artists kinda under the radar, and now does boring shows.

such a pity really.

I think when Mick T. really shines is when he's got a good lead singer (Jagger certainly comes to mind) & a band behind him, Mick J. often said that Taylor really played great melodic leads with his singing, he's proven to be a outstanding guitarist & I wish he had of stayed with The Stones, but he couldn't handle the lifestyle with the drugs at that time.
