On page 142, he writes about the late great Mr. Les Paul. No pictures of Keith, but the photo of Les is great-he's kissing a guitar.

Steelie:
Are you too young to remember that it was the conservative media that hated and bashed the Stones?  Or are you just terminally puerile?

He's terminally puerile.  Remember, this is the poster who got tossed out of gasland after using the n-word for the umpteenth time despite warning......

The liberal media does hold a disdain for the Stones - this began to take place in earnest during the 1970s when the Stones were viewed as anti-woman, drug addled, knuckle dragging rock n roll thugs.  (even as Mick danced around and engaged in a cock dance with that keyboard player...)

In the 1980s we saw the repeated age-related jokes-  this coming again primarily from the liberal media.

The Stones marched on, and by the 1990s, a grudging respect started to form - though most still point out (with a bit of smug satisfaction) that the Stones are no longer of any cultural importance but rather just a successful touring act.  Some truth to that...)

Regarding the media, liberals have long been the establishment, and as such, the natural enemies to what the Stones once represented.

Now both are the establishment, but one still holds little respect for the other...
