The Cardinals' Chris 'Spacewolf' Feinstein dies Ryan Adams, Santigold, Albert Hammond Jr collaborator passes away aged 42

Chris "Spacewolf" Feinstein,from Ryan Adams' former band The Cardinals has died.

The bassist passed away on Monday (December 14) at the age of 42. His cause of death yet to be confirmed.

Feinstein was a member of Ryan Adams & the Cardinals during their final albums, appearing on 'Easy Tiger', 'Follow The Lights' and 'Cardinology'.

Since The Cardinals parted ways with Adams, Feinstein had also performed with Albert Hammond, Jr. and wrote songs for Santigold's debut album.

terribly sad news. He was a brilliant bass player...Ryan Adams must be devastated.

There last UK gig was at The Southampton Guildhall on 22nd November 2008, it was a stunning show, and as the band hastily left the stage, to board their bus for the airport, Chris threw his pick into the crowd...
it landed in my coat pocket.
I hadn't realised until a friend pointed out to me,
that it had landed on my person. Amazed at this slice of good fortune, i got my friend to take a photo.....

Jesus..he didn't get much time. Saw Ryan with The Cardinals in Amsterdam twice. One time the band had to try to keep the show on the road because Ryan was gazing at his shoes for two hours before running off of the stage without a single word to the crowd, the other time they gave a show that couldn't have been more tight. So: thanks for the good times Chris Feinstein. RIP.

Not to point out the incidental, but I didn't know that Adams had parted ways with the Cardinals.

Very sad news.
Feinstein's addition to The Cards helped take the band's live shows to a whole 'nother level...

I don't know too much about the Cardinals. But this is sad news. RIP.
