the versions of the film I have are both a half step sharp...does any one know if there is a pitch corrected version......the sync is okay but songs in G end up in G # which is simply off

Probably has something to do with sped-up tape ... The '72 bootleg "Love in Vain," if I recall, has JJF and SFM not just a half-step up, but all the way to C!

a half step up from B is C...I am not being picky but if I wanted to play along I gotta capo three guitars (for tunings)...it is a hassle and I would like to hear it as played rather than sped up.

They did it for a lot of concert films back in the day, as faster songs seemed to have more energy and allowed the films to be shorter (from what I hear).
