2:35 - 3:15 is simply a weapon of mass instruction.

Doing it this good around 60 is just beyond anything.

What a great band you know?

Good times.  Ronnie and Keith were both present and accounted for.

I sense past tense?

Didn't read the Ronnie thread much because he just can't be "kicked out".

This will and should get him closer to the band, not farther.

I think the voice is Animal Attraction, and the guitars are beyond words...

Sorry you think it's godawful.

I dont reckon he'll be kicked out - unless he can't get medical insurance to cover him for a tour - but I think you're absolutely wrong on the above.

As for the clip. Absolutely brilliant indeed. It IS 'past tense' though, unfortunately. A lot has happened in six years.

Four Flicks is by a mile the best Stones release since 1981. And the Olympia show is it's high point.

Love the kiss. :)

And you gotta give him props for being able to play the guitar while it's all the way down by his ankles!

Gazza my High Five Drinking, Slapping, Swearing, Pissing, Stones #1ing Bastard Brother!

You know, speaking of 1981, the Drug Rehab place that I'm currently at, I was watching alone Still Life on AMC over here alone 2 days ago and slowly, people came in, one by one and durring Shattered so early, they made me switch the channel! @@@@@ What the fuck is that!? Most of them here are old too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They don't appreciate The Stones? Jesus Fucking Christ.

I didn't bitch though, I just left the room. I've seen that show a 1000 times. But still it would of been nice to introduce them to the Stones and teach them about good music you know?

What the Fuck My Brother? They even smoke weed!

I'm just glad they don't breathalize here.

LOL. I presume you mean 'Lets Spend The Night Together', no?

Funny enough, I just switched over to BBC4 here and they're showing 'Gimme Shelter' !

And it'll be on again in a couple of hours time.

Rehab again, Steelie?  :forfucksake

Blondie rocked that one.  Loved the way he turned away from the mike and into the shadows to play from time to time.

Pretty soon Keith is going to be playing entire shows hunched over with the guitar three inches off the ground.  :aimama

I hate to break this to you SDH, (especially since you're in rehab again) but repeated relapses and the resulting stupid, irresponsible behaviors do not bring friends, family, or business partners closer together.  It can take many years but it eventually strains, drains and finally snaps whatever previously existed.  It's called self-preservation.

I wish Ronnie well, but after reading the latest article where he is blaming his current difficulties on a little 20 year old lap dancer I don't hold out much hope.  He needs to take a giant gulp of personal responsibility.

That will conclude today's sermon.

Merry Xmas to you Muffin,

Nice.

This is why I signed up here.  You dudes love to listen to your music, more than you do to bitch about it.

I just spend an hour going through the Paris 03 show on YouTube - this seems fantastic.  Weird set list no? Dance Pt.1, Worried About You....Love Train (?)....fuck it all sounds good.

Never knew that one of the backup singer pitched in on guitar.  Loved the keith/ronnie "ancient art of weaving"."

Thanks for posting man

So True. What gets me is the playing they're capable of when they know it's for the dvd. Now, for comparison, check this out. Still has the alley cat vocals, missed cues, off notes and all but Keith's guitar absolutely DRIVES this version. Same can't be said for the recent outings.

So good. I find that the missed lyrics and little mistakes are what make Keith's songs best. Im kinda tired of seeing Mick go from singing and dancing WITH the music like the old days to singing and dancing like a cliche Mick Jagger impersonator. His moves are almost predictable now its like he cares more about putting on the show to the general, neutral public than being the old stones who play their music and dont give a F***. Thats why we love em, ya know? Thats why I love these Keith vids-- he's still himself after all these years and wont compromise it. So what if he's missing lyrics, he's putting his heart into it and moving and playing differently every time keeps a stones show refreshing. The emotion in his songs are what make em best. Love the kiss, love the freedom and attitude in his guitar playing. Ok sorry, done with my rant..
Awesome videos, thanks,  made the day.  :aimama

I feel ya. Although in fairness, Keith has his persona down pat just as much as Mick does. It's just that Keith's "cool old uncle" inspires more connection  than Mick's "zulu karaoke" routine.

By the way, how's this interview clip for irony:

Going on seven years since that clip.

Keith circa Big Bang was quite a bit less focused and capable than 2003 - so I fear what he would be like in 2010.

I must wonder if it is the lack of coke that has brought him back down to earth as a man well past his prime, or a myriad of other health issues that are catching up to him?

Nice to see him as he once was not so long ago - but it is depressing to know he most likely will never deliver like that again - even Shine a Light was hit n miss for Keith and he was dog dead tired by the end.

Time Waits for No-One...

Oh Long Time Baby...

Self Preservation...I like that.

But honey, I'm 39, this is only my 2nd time in rehab. First one I was 34, pretty late in life no?

I'm getting wiser my dear,

I know now, never to do hard drugs, only drink bout twice a week and smoke pot bout once a month - lightly.

But, Stones FOREVER my dear.
