I hate to break this to you SDH, (especially since you're in rehab again) but repeated relapses and the resulting stupid, irresponsible behaviors do not bring friends, family, or business partners closer together.  It can take many years but it eventually strains, drains and finally snaps whatever previously existed.  It's called self-preservation.  

I wish Ronnie well, but after reading the latest article where he is blaming his current difficulties on a little 20 year old lap dancer I don't hold out much hope.  He needs to take a giant gulp of personal responsibility.

So True. What gets me is the playing they're capable of when they know it's for the dvd. Now, for comparison, check this out. Still has the alley cat vocals, missed cues, off notes and all but Keith's guitar absolutely DRIVES this version. Same can't be said for the recent outings.

So what if he's missing lyrics, he's putting his heart into it and moving and playing differently every time keeps a stones show refreshing. The emotion in his songs are what make em best. I feel ya. Although in fairness, Keith has his persona down pat just as much as Mick does. It's just that Keith's "cool old uncle" inspires more connection  than Mick's "zulu karaoke" routine.

Keith circa Big Bang was quite a bit less focused and capable than 2003 - so I fear what he would be like in 2010.

I must wonder if it is the lack of coke that has brought him back down to earth as a man well past his prime, or a myriad of other health issues that are catching up to him?

Nice to see him as he once was not so long ago - but it is depressing to know he most likely will never deliver like that again - even Shine a Light was hit n miss for Keith and he was dog dead tired by the end.
