TW has a very nice family (wife & 2 little kids).  I read his wife was in the car.  I hope thay're okay.

I don't know if he was driving under influence, but it is stupid and dangerous...

Dude got caught with his tongue in someone else's pie, to paraphrase our hero. :forfucksake

The story they are going with is that his wife heard the accident from inside the house, picked up a golf club, and helpfully smashed the back window of his car to help get him out of the front seat.  Hmm . . .

More like:

Tiger: "I'm out of here!" (jumps into car)
Wife:  "You cheating bastard.  Fore!"  (smashes back window with five iron)
Tiger: "What the fuck?"  (looks back at broken glass).  "Oh shit!" (smashes into fire hydrant.)

His facial injuries were caused by her fingernails, not the accident.  Not that I'm one to gossip.

cause white dudes don't cheat? you might not be a racist, but seems like you are, just saying what you did, you're definitely and asshole...
since you bring it up... Fox News covered this story awsomely... they showed two pics of the women Woods is accused of cheating with... one was her from after Sept. 11th (she lost a fiancee') they said she was known as "the face of people who lost people in the attack."

" Waitress claims Woods affair By JEN BLACKBURN  "

" A COCKTAIL waitress has claimed she enjoyed a 31-month affair with Tiger Woods - as cops today revealed they will be charging the golf legend with careless driving.
Jaimee Grubbs has told American magazine Us Weekly she met Woods in Las Vegas in April 2007 and has voicemails and text messages proving her affair with the star, who married Elin Nordegren in 2004.

The magazine claims Grubbs, who says she was 21 when the romance started, has over 300 texts from Woods who was involved in a bizarre early hours car crash last weekend outside his £1.7million mansion.

The beauty, who recently appeared on VH1 show Tool Academy, has gone on to claim she's had 20 sexual encounters with the star.  "

Yeah. And that's often the case. I guess I've figured out that that's just not the issue. Probably a lot of things involved, whether boredom with the marriage, the excitement of "getting away with something"...who knows? But.....well, we'll just have to see how this affects things {sponsorships, etc.} Did he really think this wouldn't all come out? That he wouldn't get caught?

A few days ago, we told you how in 2001, golfer Jesper Parnevik and his wife introduced their nanny, Elin Nordegren, to an up-and-coming young go-getter by the name of Tiger Woods. With all the revelations of late, seems Jesper isn't particularly happy with how Tiger has handled his marriage.

"I feel really sorry for Elin," he told The Golf Channel on Wednesday. "I would be especially sad about it since I'm kind of ... I really feel sorry for Elin, since me and my wife were at fault for hooking her up with him. We probably thought he was a better guy than he is. I would probably need to apologize to her and hope she uses a driver next time instead of the 3-iron."

Parnevik noted the privacy issue at the heart of the story, but understands that the rules are different for Tiger ... and not always in his favor: "It's a private thing, of course. But when you are the guy he is, the world's best athlete, you should think more before you do stuff. . . And maybe not just do it, like Nike says." (Click here for edited video.)

Parnevik clearly is personally wounded by Woods' "transgressions," so it's understandable that he'd tee off on Tiger. It's not likely we'll see other golfers criticize Woods openly; why would they? Most of Woods' fellow players, as noted here, have expressed support for Elin and her children, regret that Woods made poor choices, and hope that the Woods family will be able to get past this drama. Most have noted the microscope that all celebrities live under; left unsaid was the point that perhaps one ought to remember that microscope doesn't just focus on good behavior.

So far, Woods' sponsors have continued to express support, either explicitly or tacitly, and it's in that fashion that Woods will be able to continue to rehabilitate his image. No matter what happens next, it's likely that we won't be seeing ads that can be in any way mocked or misinterpreted, like Accenture's "The road to high performance isn't always paved" campaign.

YOU are a VERY sweet guy and I wish more men thought like you do, and I agree 100%, if you cant or dont want to stay faithful to one person, than dont get married! But people never go into a marriage thinking ahead of time that they will be unfaithful, it just happens. After a while things change, people change, they get bored, take it for granted, treat each other badly, whatever. The trick is being content with what you got and TIGER is one of those guys who always wants more, strives for it, thinks he can do anything and pull it off. But he underestimated a women's scorn, and now it's payback time!

An unidentified woman has been taken away in an ambulance from a house on the street in Florida where golfer Tiger Woods lives, reports say.

Local television stations in Orlando said a call for an ambulance had been received from Woods' home in the gated Isleworth community at 0236 (0736 GMT).

TV footage showed a woman being wheeled on a stretcher into a nearby hospital.

Last week, Woods apologised to his family for letting them down amid speculation about his private life.

The statement came days after he was found bleeding and semi-conscious after his car hit a tree and fire hydrant outside his home, and followed a story in a US gossip magazine that he had had a 31-month affair with a Los Angeles cocktail waitress.

Woods was later charged with careless driving and fined $164.

The 14-time major champion has been married to his Swedish wife Elin, a former model, for five years. The couple have two children.

'Life support'

On Tuesday morning, a spokeswoman for the Orange County Fire Rescue service told the Associated Press that medics had responded to an overnight 911 emergency call from Deacon Circle in Isleworth, and that an adult had been taken to hospital.

Woods has been married to Elin for five years and has two children
But she would not say whether the call had come from Tiger Woods' home, or if the person who received treatment had been a woman.

The Orlando television station, WESH, reported earlier that a radio log showed an adult woman had been transported from Woods' home to the Health Central Hospital in nearby Ocoee.

The log showed the patient had initially refused transport, but was later listed as an advance life support patient, it added.

WESH said the video from the hospital showed a blonde woman being taken through the entrance to the emergency room.

A black Cadillac Escalade, with a number plate similar to the one involved in Woods' car crash, was reportedly seen at the hospital.

The information has not been independently confirmed.

Many years ago my wife Anne and I were sitting at the bar of the American Hotel in Amsterdam. A rather young black guy walks in and is greeted by the bar tender with "hey Tiger, how are ya". I had no idea who this guy was when he sat down next to me. An older guy at his other side immediately starts talking to him about golf. Since I know absolutely nothing about this game or its players I didnt take part in the conversation. But I noticed that "Tiger" wasnt very much interested in the conversation as well. After about 5 minutes he pointed at my Rolling Stones Zippo lighter on the bar and asked if a was a Stonesfan. And within a few seconds we had a very pleasant conversation about the Stones and rock in general, which lasted for about half an hour. Then we shook hands and he left the bar. Me still not knowing who that nice guy was.
Many weeks later I was reading the newspaper (oh well, looking at the pictures), when I noticed an article about a golfer called Tiger Woods. I had a look at the pictures and said to Anne, hey this guy looks alot like that "Tiger" from the hotelbar. Looking up more pictures on Google he even looked more like him. Still dont know for 100% sure, but I like the idea that I have probably talked to Tiger Woods without knowing it. And maybe because I didnt know him and didnt talk to him about golf like the others at the bar tried.

GM Will Repair, Auction Tiger Woods Wrecked Escalade
Posted: Dec. 09, 2009 11:12 a.m.

Are you in the market for a new Cadillac Escalade? How about a repaired one with a famous former owner? Jalopnik reports that General Motors plans to repair and sell Tiger Woods’ recently totaled Escalade. GM owns the vehicle, which was loaned to Woods as a public relations gesture.

The vehicle gained fame when Woods crashed the car at his Florida home.. Woods’ crashed the car into a fire hydrant, then into a nearby tree, sustaining minor injuries. Wood’s wife, Elin Nordegren, claims that she broke the rear window of the black Escalade with a golf club in order to free her husband from the crashed vehicle. Some speculate, however, that she may have broken the window and injured Woods in a rage prior to the crash.

A Cadillac spokesperson, David Caldwell, told USA Today, "We could retain ownership of it, using it for other internal duties, or we could indeed sell it off. Generally selling a company-owned vehicle means that it would go into an auction. So there are a few options." Caldwell also suggested that if the vehicle is auctioned off, it will be a formal auction rather than a private sale to a specific buyer or group.

Why are Americans so fucking puritanical? Why do they expect humans in the public eye to be so squeaky clean? And what exactly has Tiger's roaming dick got to do with his sports professionalism? He's no less amazing as a sportsman just because he fucks around, no?
It is interesting how in the US the Tag Heuer adverts with his picture have already been removed , but this advert with his picture appeared in the British Daily Telegraph only yesterday:

http://x17online.com/celebrities/tiger_woods/tag_heuer_drops_tiger_woods_too-12102009.php
( a bit unfortunate to ask him at this point in time "What are you made of?", but it won't make me pull my watch off my wrist...)

As far as I'm concerned, I'm with Ginda! I bet it must be almost impossible to try and get to grips with your marital problems and infidelities when you're constantly in the public eye. The whole thing is in principle nothing but a private matter and only ceases to be one because of the media intrusion, fed by the seemingly insatiable public hunger for any minor details about celebrities's private lives. Nowadays it seems so normal and acceptable to stalk famous people, I absolutely hate it. Here in the UK things are  hopefully going to get a bit more aggressive towards intrusive journalism and we expect newspapers to be sued after the Christmas period if they don't lay off in reporting about the Royal family during their Xmas holidays on the private Sandringham estate. And it's about fucking time!!!! I would welcome much tougher sanctions of journalists, perhaps then they will actually report proper news and not a lot of unimportant gossip shite about famous people, which doesn't interest me in the slightest. Specially those non-entities that are celebrities for being celebrities. If they'd discover some humanity-changing thing or were talented I would understand, but personally I'd welcome for Paris and the rest of celeb scum to fall into some tectonic faultline, never to be seen or heard of again... (Sorry, Joey!)

I don't know, but what I DO know is that there IS a word for women who profiteer from having sex.

Dropping your knickers for someone who happens to be famous and then running to the papers and making a financial killing out of it is basically a variation on the world's oldest profession - if anything, it's actually a seedier and less honest version of it.

The Tiger story isn't going anywhere anytime soon. As far as whether it's anyone's business and why do we care who Tiger slept with. Same reason we care about Ron Wood,David Letterman or anyone else. Human nature. But in Tiger's case. He tried to carefully craft a certain kind of public personality. While trying to portray himself as being squeaky clean and the all american boy. When the shit hit's the fan and the reality comes out, then he has no one to blame but himself. But don't feel to sorry for him. No matter what he has to pay Elin,he'll still be left with millions and make many more millions. All he has to do is show up on Oprah and cry on her couch.

Yeah and he released it late on a friday afternoon like a politician forced to admit to bad news. But who wants to minimize the damage. He needs to answer a lot of questions. Like why he was a scumbag who cheated on his wife while she was pregnant and why he trys so hard to craft a certain public image. While living an entirely different life. I commend him for taking time off from golf. His family is more important. But why do I get the feeling this is more about damage control than about getting his family back together. I could give a fuck what Tiger does. He may be the greatest golfer who ever lived. But in my book he's still a lying, cheating, dirtbag. I'm sure he doesn't really care what me or anybody else thinks. But if he insists on this carefully crafted public image. Than at some point he has to answer to said public. The sponsors are dropping fast. Tiger is in full damage control. To repair is oh so precious public image,at some point he'll have to do the perp walk. Yes I know he hasn't been charged with any crimes. But like I said before,it's only a matter of time before he ends up crying on Oprah's couch. Or does an interview with 60 mins. With carefully inserted tears.

Splash NewsBraun told E! News the golf star would call her to arrange meetings with girls as he left wife Elin Nordegren, 29, at home.

And she told a US newspaper his favourite was stunning Playboy model Loredana Jolie.

Braun claimed Woods would spend £10,000 a time to meet Loredana, 26, in Manhattan.

But Loredana said only that she received "a ring, a pair of diamond studs and a watch" from Woods.

She added: "He came off as being a really nice person. He had manners."

Braun also alleged two of the other women to have romped with Woods - porn star Holly Sampson and lingerie model Jamie Jungers - were on her books. "

children are restless and the teacher decides to have an early
dismissal.
Teacher: "Whoever answers the questions I ask, first and correctly can
leave early today."
Little Johnny says to himself "Good, I want to get outta here. I'm smart
and will answer the question."
Teacher: "Who said 'Four Score and Seven Years Ago'?"
Before Johnny can open his mouth, Susie says, "Abraham Lincoln."
Teacher: "That's right Susie, you can go home."
Johnny is mad that Susie answered the question first.
Teacher: "Who said 'I Have a Dream'?"
Before Johnny can open his mouth, Mary says, "Martin Luther King."
Teacher: "That's right Mary, you can go."
Johnny is even madder than before.
Teacher: "Who said 'Ask not, what your country can do for you'?"
Before Johnny can open his mouth, Nancy says, "John F. Kennedy."
Teacher: "That's right Nancy, you may also leave."
Johnny is boiling mad that he has not been able to answer to any of the
questions.
When the teacher turns her back Johnny says, "I wish these bitches would
keep their mouths shut!"
The teacher turns around: "NOW WHO SAID THAT?"
Johnny: "TIGER WOODS. CAN I GO NOW?"

Yep, and one's supposedly 47. I love the story of one girl getting suspicious when Tiger was in bed with her, and texting another girl. Seriously. How did he keep all those girls from finding about each other?? This schedule must have been harder to set up than anything to do with golf. SHEESH.

Elin was seen out again, with daughter Sam, without that ring. Not even sure if Tiger is in the tank {house} anymore.....this just gets scuzzier by the day.

I wasn't sure, so I looked it up. Yup. He was married in Oct. of '04 and his dad passed in May of '06. So, yeah. Married and with one of his many mistresses that night.....seems that Tiger has been like this forever, and his marriage didn't even put a crimp in his bedtime activities. My question is..........why get married then? To have legitimate kids? How does he even have any time to spend with them?? Good grief..

I found Frank Rich's take on this issue interesting:

TIGER WOODS, PERSON OF THE YEAR
by Frank Rich (New York Times)

As we say farewell to a dreadful year and decade, this much we can agree upon:  The person of the year is not Ben Bernanke, no matter how insistently Time magazine tries to hype him into its pantheon.  The Fed chairman was just as big a schnook as every other magical thinker in Washington and on Wall Street who believed that housing prices would go up in perpetuity to support an economy leveraged past the hilt.  Unlike most of the others, it was Bernanke's job to be ahead of the curve.  Yet as recently as June of last year he could be found minimizing the possibility of a substantial economic downturn.  And now we're supposed to applaud him for putting his finger in the dike after disaster struck?  This is defining American leadership down.

If there's been a consistent narrative to this year and every other in this decade, it's that most of us, Bernanke included, have been so easily bamboozled.  The men who played us for suckers, whether at Citigroup or Fannie Mae, at the White House or Ted Haggard's megachurch, are the real movers and shakers of this century's history so far.  That's why the obvious person of the year is Tiger Woods.  His sham beatific image, questioned by almost no one until it collapsed, is nothing if not the farcical reductio ad absurdum of the decade's flimflams, from the cancerous (the subprime mortgage) to the inane (balloon boy).

As of Friday, the Tiger saga had appeared on 20 consecutive New York Post covers.  For The Post, his calamity has become as big a story as 9/11.  And the paper may well have it right.  We've rarely questioned our assumption that 9/11, "the day that changed everything," was the decade's defining event.  But in retrospect it may not have been.  A con like Tiger's may be more typical of our time than a one-off domestic terrorist attack, however devastating.

Indeed, if we go back to late 2001, the most revealing news story may have been unfolding not in New York but Houston--the site of the Enron scandal.  That energy company convinced financial titans, the press and countless investors that it was a business deity.  It did so even though very few of its worshippers knew what its business was.  Enron is the template for the decade of successful ruses that followed, Tiger's included.

What makes the golfing superstar's tale compelling, after all, is not that that he's another celebrity in trouble or another fallen athletic "role model" in a decade lousy with them.  His scandal has nothing to tell us about race, and nothing new to say about hypocrisy.  The conflict beween Tiger's picture-perfect family life and his marathon womanizing is the oldest of morality tales.

What's striking instead is the exceptional, Enron-sized gap between this golfer's public image as a paragon of businessline discipline and focus and the maniacally reckless life we now know he led.  What's equally striking, if not shocking, is that the American establishment and news media--all of it, not just golf writers or celebrity tabloids--fell for the Woods myth as hard as any fan and actively helped sustain and enhance it.

People wanted to believe what they wanted to believe.  Tiger's off-the-links elusiveness was no more questioned than Enron's impenetrable balance sheets, with their "special-purpose entities" named after "Star Wars" characters.  Fortune magazine named Enron as America's "most innovative company" six years in a row.  In the January issue of Golf Digest, still on the stands, some of the best and most hardheaded writers in America offer "tips Obama can take from Tiger," who is typically characterized as so without human frailties that he "never does anything that would make him look ridiculous."

Perhaps the most conspicuous player in the Tiger hagiography business has been a company called Accenture, one of his lustrous stable of corporate sponsors.  In a hilarious Times article, Brian Stelter described the extreme efforts this outfit is now making to erase its six-year association with its prized spokesman.  Alas, the many billboards with slogans like "Go On.  Be a Tiger" are not so easily dismantled, and collectors' items like "Accenture Match Play Tiger Woods Caddy Bib" are a growth commodity on eBay.

From what I can tell, Accenture is a solid company.  But the Daily News columnist Mike Lupica raised a good point when I spoke with him last week:  ""If Tiger Woods was so important to Accenture, how come I didn't know what Accenture did when they fired him?"  According to its Web site, Accenture is "a global management consulting, technology services and outsourcing company," but who cared about any fine print?  It was Tiger, and Tiger was it, and no one was to worry about the details behind the mutually advantageous image-mongering.  One would like to assume that Accenture's failure to see or heed any warning signs about a man appearing in 83 percent of its advertising is an anomalous lapse.  One would like to believe that business and government clients didn't hire Accenture just because it had Tiger's imprimatur.  But in a culture where so many smart people have been taken so often, we can't assume anything.

As cons go, Woods's fraudulent image as an immaculate exemplar of superhuman steeliness is benign.  His fall will damage his family, closest friends, Accenture and the golf industry much more than the rest of us.  But the syndrome it epitomizes is not harmless.  We keep being fooled by leaders in all sectors of American life, over and over.  A decade that began with the "reality" television craze exemplified by "American Idol" and "Survivor"--both blissfully devoid of any reality whatsoever--spiraled into a wholesale flight from truth.

The most lethal example, of course, were the two illusions marketed to us on the way to Iraq--that Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction and some link to Al Qaeda.  That history has since been rewritten by Bush alumni, Democratic politicians who supported the Iraq invasion and some of the news media that purveyed the White House fictions (especially the television press, which rarely owned up to its failure as print journalists have).  It was exclusively "bad intelligence," we're now told, that pushed us into the fiasco.  But contradictions to that "bad intelligence" were in plain sight during the run-up to the war--even sometimes in the press.  Yet we wanted to suspend disbelief.  Much of the country, regardless of party, didn't want to question its leaders, no matter how obviously they were hyping any misleading shred of intelligence that could fit their predetermined march to war.  It's the same impulse that kept many from questioning how Mark McGwire's and Barry Bonds's outlandishly cartoonish physiques could possibly be steroid-free.

In the political realm, our bipartisan credulousness has also been on steroids in this decade, even by our national standards.  Many Democrats didn't want to see the snake-oil salesman in John Edwards, blatant as his "Two America" self-contradictions were if you cared merely to look at him on YouTube.  Republicans incessantly fell for family values preacher politicians like David Vitter, John Ensign and Larry Craig.  Fred Thompson was seen by many, in the press as well as his party, as the second coming of Ronald Reagan.  Karl Rove was widely hailed as a mastermind who would assemble a permanent Republican majority.  Bernie Kerik was considered a plausible secretary of homeland security.  Eliot Spitzer was viewed as a crusader of uncompromising principle.

But these scam artists are pikers next to the financial hucksters.  I'm not just talking about Bernie Madoff and Enron's Ken Lay, but about those titans who legally created and sold the securities that gamed and then wrecked the system.  You'd think after Enron's collapse that financial leaders and government overseers would question the contents of "exotic" investments that could no be explained in plain English.  But only a few years after Enron's very public and extensively dissected crimes, the same bankers, federal regulatory agencies and securities-rating companies were giving toxic "assets" a pass.  We were only too eager to go along for the lucrative ride until it crashed like Tiger's Escalade.

Afer his "indefinite break"  from golf, Woods will surely be back on the links once the next celebrity scandal drowns his out.  But after a decade in which two true national catastrophes, a wasteful war and a near-ruinous financial collapse, were both in part byproducts of the ease with which our leaders bamboozled us, we can't so easily move on.

This can be seen in the increasingly urgent political plight of Barack Obama.  Though the American left and right don't agree on much, they are both now coalescing around the suspicion that Obama's brilliant presidential campaign was as hollow as Tiger's public image--a marketing scam designed to camouflage either his covert anti-American radicalism (as the right sees it) or spineless timidity (as the left sees it).  The truth may well be neither, but after a decade of being spun silly, Americans can't be blamed for being cynical about any leader trying to sell anything.  As we say goodbye to the year of Tiger Woods, it is the country, sad to say, that is left mired in a sand trap with no obvious way out.

Report: Tiger paid 2 women to keep quiet about sex tape
Fox Sports News Updated Feb 14, 2010 6:13 PM ET

Tiger Woods made regular hush money payments to quiet two girls he had a threesome with on tape, The New York Daily News reported Sunday.

The fidelity-challenged superstar golfer was in bed with the pair in Phoenix three years back when he noticed one of them taking pictures or videotaping him with the other girl, the newspaper said, citing a source familiar the situation.

“"Tiger goes ballistic. He starts chasing the girl around. She runs out the door. He runs out after her. I don't know how much clothing either of them is wearing, but Tiger finally catches up with her and grabs her cell phone or camera or whatever it was that had the evidence,” the source said.

Recognizing the danger the situation posed to Woods’ hundreds of millions of dollars in endorsement money, his handlers decided to make regular payments to the women to keep them quiet, the Daily News said.

It's not known what happened to the recording.

Meanwhile, Woods' wife Elin was out on the town on Saturday night, leaving him at home with the children, according to reports Sunday on entertainment news website RadarOnline.

Publishing photos of Elin Woods accompanied by a girlfriend, but minus her wedding ring, the website said Elin partied and had dinner at the Dolphin hotel in Orlando, Fla.

RadarOnline was the site that reported on Friday that Woods was back in Orlando after undergoing counselling for sex addiction, but that he and his wife were living separately.

“The marriage is not good,” one source close to them told RadarOnline.com. “She barely interacts with him.”

Woods, who has been linked to at least 14 other women during his marriage, reportedly was minding the couple's two children while his wife was out on the town. Woods has not been seen in public since lurid allegations about his private life emerged in November last year.

MARANA, Ariz. -- Tiger Woods will end nearly three months of silence Friday when he speaks publicly for the first time since his middle-of-the-night car accident sparked stunning revelations of infidelity.

However, his agent said Woods will not take any questions from a small group of media.

"This is not a press conference," Mark Steinberg said Wednesday, adding Woods will speak about his past and what he plans next, along with apologizing for his behavior.

It will be Woods' first public appearance since Nov. 27, when he crashed his SUV into a tree outside his Florida home. Woods' only comments since then have been made through his Web site.

Steinberg said Woods is to speak at 11 a.m. Friday from the clubhouse at the TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., home of the PGA Tour.

"This is all about the next step," Steinberg told The Associated Press. "He's looking forward to it."

He said three wire services would be invited, and he was asking the Golf Writers Association of America to pick a small group of reporters to serve as a pool. Steinberg said there would be one pool camera, but it would be available live via satellite.

The news comes during the Accenture Match Play Championship in Arizona, which is sure to steal attention away from the first big event of the year. Accenture was the first sponsor to drop Woods when he became embroiled in a sex scandal.

"It was a matter of timing," Steinberg said.

When asked if Woods' appearance could have waited until after Accenture's tournament, he replied, "No."

Woods has been on an indefinite break from golf and hasn't spoken publicly since crashing his SUV outside his home on Nov. 27, which was followed by media reports detailing extramarital affairs.

"I have let my family down and I regret those transgressions with all of my heart," Woods said in a December posting to his Web site. "I have not been true to my values and the behavior my family deserves. I am not without faults and I am far short of perfect. I am dealing with my behavior and personal failings behind closed doors with my family."

Woods has 71 PGA Tour victories and 14 major titles.

Stones music at the Woods home, Elin is playing SHE's SO COLD! Tiger's going to have to beg her to fvck him again, so what kind of a marriage is it now anyway? The reconciliation is for public appearances, to save Tiger's image. I say end the marriage, Tiger goes back to fvcking as many women as he wants to, Elin gets a boatload of money, and everyone moves on. The kids will survive, they will still have love, attention and everything money can buy. It's only a matter of time till the marriage unravels anyway, so why delay, just end it now and start fresh! There's no going back. Or as Dylan says, you can always go back, but you can't go back all the way. I love that line! Everyone already knows Tiger is a womanizer at this point, so why not go with that image? Everyone doesnt fit into the stereotype mold of 'happy family man'! What about 'happy horny, rich & single man'! People can choose that life too, and it's more fun!!! You know what the problem is? Society wants us all to fit into the 'mold' and it takes balls to break out of it and say I'll live my life as I please and I dont care what everyone else thinks! That's the spirit of strength, and I believe Tiger does have that inner strength but he's being convinced it isnt the 'right thing to do'. Fvck the endorsements, he's rich enough anyway!

What an arrogant bastard this guy is. He schedules his non-press conference tomorrow. The same time that the Accenture match play championships are going on. Oh by the way. Accenture was one of the sponsors that dropped him recently. As for his return to golf. He is rumoured to be playing at a non PGA event at Isleworth. A private club near his home. Then onto the Arnold Palmer tournament at Bayhill. Again close to home with a friendly crowd. Then onto the Masters and their snooty galleries. I'd like to see him play a public muni in New York and judge how the public really feels about him.

" The fidelity-challenged superstar golfer was in bed with the pair in Phoenix three years back when he noticed one of them taking pictures or videotaping him with the other girl, the newspaper said, citing a source familiar the situation.

Just as I predicted:
More signs are pointing to Tiger Woods' return to golf in two weeks, at the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill in Orlando, according to a report in the New York Post.

Two golf sources said former presidential press secretary Ari Fleischer, who helped craft Mark McGwire's return to baseball from his self-imposed exile following allegations of steroid use, has been working with Woods to chart a course for Woods' return to professional golf, the newspaper reported. Woods has been on an indefinite leave from the game following admissions of marital infidelity late last year.

"[Woods and Fleischer] were in his living room this week going over a strategy for how to handle Bay Hill in two weeks," one source said, according to the report.

A second source said, "I would be shocked if he didn't play the Arnold Palmer," according to the Post.

Woods has won the tournament six times, claiming four straight titles from 2000 through 2003 and two more in 2008-09.

Meanwhile, Woods' longtime friend, Mark O'Meara, told the Golf Channel Wednesday that he "wouldn't be surprised" if Woods played during the Tavistock Cup, a competition between two high-profile golf clubs in Orlando where several prominent PGA Tour players are members. The tournament is scheduled for March 22-23 at Isleworth.

The event would be a good way for Woods to ease back into competitive play, O'Meara told the Golf Channel.

"It's been a rough road the last three or four months in Tiger's life and his family's life," O'Meara said on the network. "It's a very difficult situation. Golf is what Tiger does, and possibly part of the healing process is to get back at it."

Fleischer, who served as press secretary for President George W. Bush, formed Ari Fleischer Sports Communications in 2008 in a joint venture with IMG Sports & Entertainment, the firm that represents Woods. Calls to Fleischer and to Woods' agent, Mark Steinberg, were not returned on Wednesday, the Post reported.

Woods' personal and professional life began to unravel on Nov. 27, when he was in a one-car accident near his home in a gated community near Orlando. Multiple allegations of marital infidelity surfaced and Woods, in a statement on his Web site, said he had been unfaithful and that he would take an indefinite leave of absence from golf.

Woods ended a lengthy public silence on Feb. 20, during a televised 13 ½-minute media event in which he apologized for his behavior.

"I do plan to return to golf one day," Woods said during his statement. "I just don't know when that day will be. I don't rule out that it will be this year."

Well, I think everybody knew Tiger wouldn't miss The Masters. So it looks like he wants to get the "return to golf" hype out of his way.

Ari Fleischer? This may not turn out as Mr Woods hopes . . .

Tiger speaks:
Tiger Woods took questions from reporters for the first time in four months Sunday, saying "I've done some pretty bad things in my life" and that he doesn't know what kind of reception he'll get when he returns to competitive golf at The Masters.

"I'm a little nervous about that to be honest with you," Woods told ESPN's Tom Rinaldi, who asked him what he expects when he returns to golf on April 8 following an auto accident which led to an indefinite leave from professional golf and an admission of multiple affairs. "It would be nice to hear a couple claps here and there."

I was living a life of a lie, I really was. And I was doing a lot of things ... that hurt a lot of people. And stripping away denial and rationalization you start coming to the truth of who you really are and that can be very ugly. But then again, when you face it and you start conquering it and you start living up to it, the strength that I feel now ... I've never felt that type of strength.

-- Tiger Woods in interview with ESPN's Tom Rinaldi
Woods conducted two interviews Sunday afternoon at Isleworth, the golf club near his home in Windermere, Fla. In addition to ESPN, Woods spoke with the Golf Channel. The interview was offered to ESPN with no restrictions on questions, but with a five-minute time limitation, plus an agreement to hold it for airing on television beginning at 7:30 p.m. ET. ESPN's complete interview will air on SportsCenter.

Woods hasn't been questioned by reporters since he was involved in a one-car crash outside his Florida home in the early-morning hours of Nov. 27. He declined to answer questions about the specifics of the accident ("You know it's all in the police report," he said. "Beyond that everything's between [wife] Elin and myself and that's private.") and specifics about his infidelity, though he did tell Rinaldi that "just one is enough ... and obviously that wasn't the case."

After his auto accident, Woods eventually admitted to infidelity and said Dec. 11 he would take an "indefinite break" from golf. Woods spoke publicly for the first time Feb. 19, when he confessed to cheating on his wife. But he didn't take any questions after his 13-plus minute statement.

"I hurt a lot of people, not just my wife," he told Rinaldi on Sunday. "My friends, my colleagues, the public, kids who looked up to me. There were a lot of people that thought I was a different person and my actions were not according to that. That's why I had to apologize. I was so sorry for what I had done."

He was in a Mississippi clinic from Dec. 31 until Feb. 11, then went to an Arizona clinic for a week of family counseling after his Feb. 19 statement.

He didn't say what he was in treatment for, but did say "It was really tough to look at yourself in a light you never want to look at yourself, that's pretty brutal."

Woods said that he didn't seek addiction treatment sooner because "I didn't know I was that bad." He said he married Elin in 2004 "because I loved her" and that his wife was "shocked," "hurt," and "angry" when he told her of his actions.

He called telling his wife and his mother among his lowest points.

"... I hurt them the most," he said. "Those are the two people in my life who I'm closest to and to say the things that I've done, truthfully to them [was] very painful."

Asked how well the world knows him, Woods said: "A lot better now. I was living a life of a lie, I really was. And I was doing a lot of things, like I said, that hurt a lot of people. And stripping away denial and rationalization you start coming to the truth of who you really are and that can be very ugly.

"But then again, when you face it and you start conquering it and you start living up to it, the strength that I feel now," he said. "... I've never felt that type of strength."

Woods returned to practice when he got home from Arizona. Swing coach Hank Haney joined him last week. Woods announced on March 16 that he would return at The Masters, a tournament he has won four times (most recently in 2005).

Woods, who will have been idle for 144 days, said he is ready to return to golf.

"I'm excited to get back and play, I'm excited to get to see the guys again," he said. "I really miss a lot of my friends out there. I miss competing. But still, I still have a lot more treatment to do, and just because I'm playing, doesn't mean I'm [going to] stop going to treatment."

Woods last played on the PGA Tour in the Tour Championship on Sept. 28, 2009, where he finished second. Woods won the Australian Masters in Melbourne on Nov. 15 for his 82nd worldwide victory.

Oh...it was all Michael Jordan's fault....

The naked truth on tomcat Tiger
By DAVID K. L I

It's all Michael Jordan's fault.

Tiger Woods became a self-indulgent, sex-crazed narcissist because he hung out with the wrong crowd -- namely, hard-partying, high-stakes hoopsters Jordan and Charles Barkley, the shamed golfer's longtime former adviser claims in an explosive new interview.

"I told him, 'Stay away from that son of a bitch [Jordan], because he doesn't have anything to offer to the f- - -ing world in which he lives except playing basketball, which he did yesterday,' " lawyer John Merchant told the latest edition of Vanity Fair magazine, which hits newsstands today.

Tiger temptress and Las Vegas nightclub hostess Jamie Jungers added, "One of the times [Woods] arrived in town, he texted me, 'I'm gambling with Charles Barkley. Text me when you're here, and I'll tell the gate you're coming.'

"As soon as I got to [the private VIP casino's] gate, I said, 'I'm with Tiger,' and they walked me to their table. Charles was playing roulette, and Tiger was playing blackjack. I would say probably $25,000 and above."

The magazine's 14-page extravaganza features sizzling-hot, nude and semi-nude photos. It includes a shot of Loredana Jolie Ferriolo laid out naked on a bed of New York Posts with room service at the Waldorf, pictures of other Tiger gal pals, and seamy new details about Woods' infamous sex scandal, including:

* Tiger had such an insatiable sexual appetite that he would often dial up "matchmaker" Michelle Braun and demand that she send over women the same day. "He'd say, 'Hey, it's Tiger. I'm going up to LA for a meeting. You got anybody in Orange County today?' " Braun said.

* His first steamy hookup with waitress Mindy Lawton, who worked at a greasy spoon near his Florida manse, occurred in his home, where he lived with his wife and kids. Tiger was "unbuttoning [my blouse] as he was kissing," Lawton said, adding that they ended up naked on his kitchen floor amid "fine porcelain tile and brushed stainless-steel appliances."

* He eventually would show no remorse about cheating, readily answering questions about his marriage, which he described as "good," and noting after one romp that his wife, Elin Nordegren, was "in Sweden with her sister," Jungers said.

* The notoriously stingy Woods did buy dinner for Lawton -- but only once, and even then, it was a chicken wrap from Subway, she said.

Merchant told Vanity Fair that his onetime best buddy started his fall from grace after hanging with the more seasoned celebs Jordan and Barkley, to whom Woods looked up.

"This is worse than one of Shakespeare's tragedies," Merchant said.

Jordan nearly shared something much more intimate than a golf game with his young pal Woods.

"Matchmaker" Braun said she once dispatched Ferriolo, a Hawaiian Tropic girl, to hook up with Woods at a casino in the Bahamas -- and the sexy model almost ended up with the basketball legend. When Ferriolo arrived, the Chicago Bulls legend allegedly spotted the Sicilian hottie and put his best moves on her.

"[Jordan's] bodyguard goes, 'Michael wants to meet you,' " Ferriolo recalled. "I walked over to him, and he grabbed my hand. I walked away, and he kind of gave chase. He goes, 'I'm Michael Jordan. I will find you.' "

Diner waitress Lawton described to the mag how she first met Tiger and his wife while serving them.

"One of them would read the paper, just very cold," she said.

"I didn't see any signs of affection . . . I figured he was in a loveless relationship with his wife."

Then one morning, "I could feel his eyes on me," Lawton said.

Soon after he left, she got a call at the eatery.

"Hi, this is Ti," the caller said.

"Who?" she asked.

"Tiger. A couple of friends and I are going out tonight to the Blue Martini, and I was wondering if you wanted to join us?"

They met up that night and ended up having sex at his house.

She said he purred, "You have a perfect body."

Lawton said she grabbed his penis. "Wow," she said. "It was the biggest I've ever seen."

She said the superstar golfer was nonstop with his sexual demands.

One time, they didn't even make it into his house, she said. As they were entering through the garage, he made a grab for her near one of his golf carts, and they had sex on the spot, she said.

Another time, he insisted on meeting her right before a big golf tourney in 2007.

"He wanted that last piece of booty before he could go to his tournament. To make him shoot better," she said.

They met in a parking lot. She said she told him she was having her period and asked if they could avoid intercourse.

But Tiger would not be denied, Lawton said. She said they started going at it next to the golfer's Cadillac SUV.

"He told me to pull my underwear down and pull out my tampon, and we went at it with me pressed up against his Escalade," she said. "He did it from the back."

He and Lawton were nearly outed by the National Enquirer, even before last November's car crash at Woods' home, which exposed his affairs.

Lawton texted Tiger about her fears that the Enquirer was onto them around 2007, she told Vanity Fair.

"The National Enquirer has found out," she wrote.

"They have no proof," he replied.

"Church parking lot," she said.

"Oh, crap," he responded.

"I need to speak with you," she said.

"I can't, I'm at a children's function right now," he said.

Lawton said her co-workers hated Tiger because he'd leave them only a 15 percent tip on his AmEx black card.

But he wasn't cheap when it came to procuring sex, Braun said. She said Tiger paid $15,000 for his first meeting with Ferriolo. The world's most famous golfer allegedly tried to hide his identity from the model by calling himself "Michael Woods."

Ferriolo admitted that she had no idea who Woods was until learning his real name and Googling him. That's when she realized he was "a big icon."

She said it was clear from their nights of passion that one babe would never be enough for Tiger.

"He was very passionate," said Ferriolo, now writing a book about her affair with Woods, "Up to Par."

"He made me fall in love. I couldn't believe that he would turn out to be such a playboy."

In fact, the golfer played around so much on his wife that it appeared he eventually had no guilt about cheating, one of his gal pals said.

Jungers said she first slept with Woods in 2005 at his Las Vegas suite. After doing the deed, Jungers said, she asked him, "You're married, right?"

"Yeah."

"Well, how's your marriage?"

"Good."

"Where's she now?"

"In Sweden with her sister."

But Jungers said Tiger's cheapness always bugged her.

She recalled how Team Tiger always flew her on discount carrier Southwest Airlines and never in first class.

Jungers remembered telling Woods in 2006, "I feel like we're at a point in our relationship where you wouldn't mind helping me. And he said, 'I can't.' "

Porn star Holly Sampson said she suspects that Tiger hooked up with her because she reminded him of Elin.

Noting that she resembles Nordegren, Sampson added, "I think he likes blondes . . . I'm sure he'd probably die to know that I was telling this."

Woods' adviser, Merchant, said a fight over money led to his ouster from Tiger's inner circle.

In 1996, when a 21-year-old Woods scored a $40 million endorsement deal with Nike, Merchant said he called out Tiger's dad, Earl, for grabbing $1 million of the deal.

Merchant said he was fired the next morning and Tiger was then surrounded with yes men and corporate enablers.

Meanwhile, Earl Woods, aside from being a money-grubber, also was uncouth, some sources said.

He was once given a "Father of the Year" award from an organization -- and showed up at the coat-and-tie affair "in these little hot pants -- short shorts -- and a golf shirt, and he's got a big, old vodka gimlet going and a cigarette burning, and he's sound asleep, just hammered, sh- -faced," a source told the mag.

The apple didn't fall far from the tree when it came to cheating, either, the source added.

"Earl always had a cute little assistant. There could always be a potential for harassment," the source said.

If Woods had listened to better advisers, Tiger wouldn't be in the mess he's in now, according to Merchant.

"I loved that boy!" he said. "I watched him grow over the years. I watched him relate to his father. I see all of that destroyed. It never should have happened."

Your not the only one. I can appreciate the fact that he's a great golfer and all that. But he's always just come off as a smug jerk. How he a cna shrug off 20 something (at least) supposed mistresses,is just supreme arrogance. Which has always been his style. It'll be interesting to see how he does at the Masters today. Of course Augusta is supremely protecting him. Giving him an early tee time and noy alllowing any tv coverage. Other than his first shot.

I think it's creepy too. And ad exec. that the Today Show interviewed says it's a brilliant marketing move. Whatever. It's creepy.

Tiger never seems to really have any emotion. Not so sure how human he is. Maybe that's one thing that has creeped me out about him from the beginning. I always thought I was the only person on the planet who just didn't like him

Have you seen the pic of Tiger on the course with a phone, stooping down, looking like he's texting? Really? REALLY? What does he think people will assume he's doing? :blankfriggingstare1 :forfucksake

He was in the second last group, was he not?

And I think not showing TV coverage of the early holes in the first few rounds is pretty much er..par for the course.

Well he's only 1 shot off the lead with 1 more hole to go. I guess his game didn't suuffer so much from the layoff.

Two back. Finished with a 68 (Couples shot 66).

Woods' lowest ever first round at Augusta. Not bad for a part timer.

Attorneys for Tiger Woods announce his divorce is final
By Jay Busbee

And so it ends.

Attorneys for Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren Woods have announced that the couple have divorced, confirming rumors that have swirled for most of 2010.

"We are sad that our marriage is over and we wish each other the very best for the future," the couple said in a joint statement that leaves zero doubt as to where their future concerns will lie. "While we are no longer married, we are the parents of two wonderful children and their happiness has been, and will always be, of paramount importance to both of us."

Terms of the divorce were not disclosed, but it's likely that Elin Woods will receive a handsome financial incentive in return for her silence. Chances are it won't approach the outlandish $750 million figure bandied about earlier this year, but once you get into 9 figures, does that first digit even matter?

Today's news closes a chapter on a story that began last Thanksgiving, when news of Woods' infidelities came to light. A simple one-car accident kicked off a story that alternately fascinated, disgusted and amused fans worldwide. Woods took time off from the game, spent time in a treatment facility for sex addiction, endured scathing criticism and merciless teasing, and finally returned to the course a different player.

Without speculating on the family dynamics of the Woods -- and not at all to discount the effect that this will have on Woods' children -- it's obvious that Tiger had more on his mind this last year than ever before, and it's understandable that the off-course pressures would have had a dramatic impact on his so far very un-Tigerlike play.

We'll leave the cheap jokes -- and oh, there will be many -- about what Tiger will be up to after his divorce to others. Divorce is never without pain, but perhaps this will help Tiger put 2010 behind him once and for all and move onward.

Elin speaks:
WINDERMERE, Fla. (AP)—Tiger Woods’ ex-wife Elin Nordegren said she has “been through hell” since her husband’s infidelity surfaced but she never hit him, according to an interview released Wednesday.

Nordegren told People magazine she and Woods tried for months to reconcile the relationship. In the end, a marriage “without trust and love” wasn’t good for anyone, she said.

On Thanksgiving night outside their Florida home, Woods drove his SUV over a fire hydrant and into a tree, setting off shocking revelations that sports’ biggest star had been cheating on his wife through multiple affairs. The couple officially divorced Monday.

Nordegren told People that she never hit Woods on the night of the car crash.

“There was never any violence inside or outside our home,” she said. “The speculation that I would have used a golf club to hit him is just truly ridiculous.”

Nordegren said Woods left the house that night and when he didn’t return after a while, she got worried and went to look for him. She said that’s when she found him in the car.

“I did everything I could to get him out of the locked car,” she said. “To think anything else is absolutely wrong.”

The magazine said the interview was conducted over four visits lasting a total of 19 hours at the rented Windermere, Fla., home where she now lives with their two children.

“I’ve been through hell,” the Swedish-born Nordegren said. “It’s hard to think you have this life, and then all of a sudden—was it a lie? You’re struggling because it wasn’t real. But I survived. It was hard, but it didn’t kill me.”

In an interview on NBC’s “Today” show on Wednesday morning, People magazine reporter Sandra Sobieraj Westfall said Nordegren and her team approached the publication.

Westfall said Nordegren wanted people to know three things: she’s not violent and never hit Woods; she had no idea this was going on; and it was a real marriage for her.

Nordegren and Woods were married Oct. 5, 2004, in Barbados and have a 3-year-old daughter, Sam, and an 18-month-old son, Charlie.

In the interview, Nordegren would not disclose the amount of the divorce settlement but did say “money can’t buy happiness or put my family back together.”

“I’m so embarrassed that I never suspected—not a one. For the past 3 1/2 years, when all this was going on, I was home a lot more with pregnancies, then the children and my school.”

Woods, who was playing a pro-am round at The Barclays in Paramus, N.J., early Wednesday, hasn’t commented on the couple’s divorce.

Shortly before 8 a.m., when the People magazine story broke, his agent, Mark Steinberg, stepped outside the ropes of the first fairway and was on the phone for the next 10 minutes, as was Woods’ spokesman, Glenn Greenspan.

Nordegren said she would eventually forgive Woods, but that she is still working on it.

“Forgiveness takes time,” she said. “It is the last step of the grieving process.”

Meantime, Nordegren said she is excited to start the next chapter of her life and intends to stay in the U.S. with her children.

She also said she has “not watched one minute of golf.”
