Mick Jagger’s daughter Jade opened her first clothing boutique yesterday with a bit of help fro her daughters Amba and Assisi was well as from dad.

The fashion designer was accompanied by her offspring during the launch party of her self-titled shop in the British capital’s trendy district of Notting Hill, where the 38-year-old is planning to showcase her beaded dresses and fine jewellery.

Joined by girlfriend L’Wren Scott, Mick had left Paris, where he was working, in order to offer some well deserved support for the new business.

The Ladbroke Grove’s All Saints Road store will hopefully become a family affair, said Jade, as it already benefits from the participation of 17-year-old Assisi and 13-year-old Amba who are putting their shoulders to the grind as models and office clerks.

Speaking to Grazia magazine, Jade said that her daughters are scheduled to come in on Saturdays, adding that they have proven themselves to be creative and want to be involved. She said her daughters are good workers who enjoy helping their mom around the house.

Jade created some controversy earlier this year for allowing her girls to appear in racy publicity video used to promote her fashion business.

Wearing tiny hot pants and high heels, the two girls appeared in the video strutting provocatively along with a group of friends. The media criticised Jade harshly and qualified the move as being ‘completely inappropriate’.

Jade, who is the daughter of Mick and Bianca Jagger, said at the time that she saw herself as a fit mother, admitting that she is not very conventional. She added that her and the girls are extremely close buddies.

Jezebell, Jade’s fashion line, has managed to attract well known fans such as Kate Moss.

Meanwhile, the Rolling Stones have re-released an old song which is resurging on popularity. The band is riding on the Susan Boyle bandwagon by re-launching ‘Wild Horses’, a forty year old song perfected by the former Britain’s Got Talent contestant. Susan Boyle’s first album features her version of the song which she performed live at the American Idol show in the US a few months ago.

Jade Jagger launched her first boutique last night along with a little help from daughters Assisi and Amba and her father Mick.

The designer was flanked by her teenage proteges at the opening party of her self-titled store in in London's Notting Hill where she'll sell fine jewellery and beaded dresses.
Her father, accompanied by his girlfriend L'Wren Scott, flew in from work in Paris to show his support for the new venture.

Jade, 38, wants the store, in Ladbroke Grove's All Saints Road, to be a family affair and has already involved Assisi, 17, and Amba, 13, in the business in roles ranging from modelling to filing.

'My daughters will be my Saturday girls,' she told Grazia magazine.

She added last night: 'They're artistic and they're involved. I make them do things around the house. I find they're very charming women.'
Jade, who has homes in Ibiza and Goa, came under fire earlier this year for allowing her children to appear in a raunchy promotional video for her fashion empire.

Scenes showing the girls dancing provocatively in tiny hot pants and high heels along with several friends were branded 'completely inappropriate' by critics.

But the daughter of Sir Mick and Bianca Jagger says: 'I consider myself a good mother. I admit I'm not conventional but I love my girls and we are unbelievably close.

'I was brought up pretty much as an only child and for me the most important thing is for us to be together as much as we can.
'As a mum, I try to set a good example'.

Three generations of one of the great rock families turned out in force as brand Jagger branched into retail.

Sir Mick flew in from work in Paris last night to support 38-year-old daughter Jade as she launched her first boutique, 13 years after setting up her own jewellery design company.

She was joined by her own daughters Assisi, 17, and Amba, 13, who have been involved in the business in roles ranging from modelling to office filing.

At the launch party for the Jade Jagger store in Ladbroke Grove's once notorious All Saints Road, the former wild child explained how even one of the world's most famous fathers knows to be on parade for family events.

“I get a lot of love and support from my family. They seem to know when there is a three-line whip to show up [at my events] and I never make them trot for no good reason.”

Although she admits the Jagger name is so heavy “it requires a trolley”, the designer says support from her family is a huge factor behind her success.

“We're all there for each other. They're all really proud of me and have never told me that I'm trying to do something crazy.”

Is her family close-knit? “Knit, weave, probably more of a tapestry.”

The shop will sell her jewellery designs, one-off couture pieces and artworks.

The designer, who has spent years flitting between homes in Kensal Rise, Ibiza and Goa, said she felt she was finally establishing a base.
“I feel like I'm putting roots down,” she said.

“When you create brands, you really understand them but I don't think they are particularly cohesive to the public. When you put them in a shop it just brings it all together.

“London is a place where I really have to try. I find the whole weather thing very unenjoyable and it's just a little bit cramped. But I have the shop now which is exciting and really does help.”

Jade, the daughter of Sir Mick's first wife Bianca, also told of how the next generations of Jaggers are being brought up in a very different environment from her rock childhood. She said of her daughters: “They're artistic and they're involved. I make them do things around the house. I find they're very charming women.”

The store has dusky pink walls, black skirting and black carpet. Shelves of jewellery are held up by golden pillars. A pair of lips sits next to Miss Jagger's name on the sign.

In the back room is a rail with clothes from her Jezebel range, which includes T-shirts starting at £40.

With all the work on her new shop and range — also appearing soon in Harvey Nichols — it's little wonder Miss Jagger now plans to slow down.

“I think my next project is to try and chill out a little bit more,” she said.

Mick Jagger flew in from Paris to hit daughter Jade Jagger’s new boutique launch last night.

Jade, Mick and guests, including Kitty Spencer and Bella Freud, sipped on vodka cocktails by Babicka and munched on silver and gold-leaf oysters, sashimi tuna and crostini and saffron squid.

Dan Williams hit the decks, cracking out funky tunes including a remix of Cheryl Cole’s 3 Words.

The sumptuous new store is the perfect setting for Jade’s jewellery line – and her three ready to wear collections, inspired by themes like Folk and French Revolution.

In true rock ‘n’ roll style, the party carried on into the early hours, spilling out into the Pelican pub next door!

Can’t wait to check out the new store.
