Johnny Depp wins his 2nd 'Sexiest Man Alive' title

NEW YORK – Get lost, Hugh Jackman. This year's "Sexiest Man Alive" is once again Johnny Depp.

Depp nudged aside Jackman to get the coveted endorsement from People magazine Wednesday. It's the 46-year-old actor's second time as "Sexiest Man Alive." He also won in 2003.

Kate Coyne, senior editor at People, said on CBS' "Early Show" that Depp has achieved an almost "iconic status in terms of sexiness."

Says Coyne: "Johnny Depp was someone who was sexy 10 years ago. He'll be sexy 10 years from now. He's someone who appeals to multiple generations of women."

Rolling Stones Message Board Rocks Off member Fotini was quoted as saying "We Stones fans are thrilled with this decision. Johnny, along with his mentor, Keith Richards, are two of the sexiest men to ever walk the Earth!"

Depp joins other double winners Brad Pitt, George Clooney and Richard Gere.

Matt Bomer, who stars in USA's "White Collar," was named "Sexiest Rising Star."

I'm amazed at how popular he is. After all, he hasn't had many big films, he doesn't talk that much about himself, his views or his life, you almost never see him at events... And when you finally *do* get to see him, he dresses up as Willy Wonka ! Damn !
Still, whenever there's a few women in a room and the conversation turns to The Ideal Man, everyone sighs and says "Johnny Depp". It's been that way since I was in high school ! It goes to show that we, as a gender, have far better taste and are much more dedicated to worthy causes than men.

Um....TOTALLY agree with this year's decision.  ;) ;D

The title of this poll always amuses me. Its not like they need to add the word 'alive', is it? Unless they reckon that corpses have much sex appeal and they have to differentiate.

Oh well they got it wrong again because MICK JAGGER is the sexiest man alive! Prove that Depp is sexier than MICK ~ he hasnt had as many girlfriends, boyfriends, affairs, marriages, hey if we are talking about SEXY, MICK wins over Depp anyday! And what makes a man sexy? It's his attitude! MICK has way more attitude than Depp has. Sorry I love Depp but he cant outdo MICK! No fvcking way!

Hahahahaha, I was away on vacation Meg, so I couldn't comment earlier on this. Finding my own Johnny Depp is kinda tricky, but in the meantime I re-discovered my crazy love for Dave Gahan by going to a Depeche Mode gig :) Fair enough!

I dont believe Bill's story either, because where are all these women and why havent any of them turned up somewhere telling thier tales? Maybe BILL was nothing to brag about?  I have never heard a single story so where all all these 3000 women? Surely some of them would be talking!
