That's Ronnie???? he looks a bit like Jeff Beck, he didn't get his rooster hair style yet, by the way who was the first to start that? Keith? Rod Stewart? I think it was Keith, I seen pics of him in '67 where his hair is sticking up at the top.
About The Birds, they were only really 'known in England right?  I never heard of them at that time in the 60's, & I was quite a follower of new groups back then, if I remember from Ronnie's book, they changed their name because of the Byrds (American) had that name already.

The Birds were great. :) I've got a few CD's and I always loved their sound. There is some serious hair in that band!! Especially for the mid 60's. Although, Britain was ahead of the U.S. in that dept.

The Birds won some acclaim on the club circuit, but ultimately failed to make the grade in terms of record sales and general renown. They released a handful of 45’s, made an appearance on Thank Your Lucy Stars and even featured in a B-movie.

The U.S. Byrds toured the UK in ’65 and the Birds management attempted to sue them in order to drum up some much needed publicity for the failing group: they failed, obviously, and ended up having to change their name to the Birds Birds – utterly ridiculous.

Yeah, I have often wondered about that Telecaster: I wonder if it is still in his possession? I suspect it was hand-painted especially, but am unsure.  I’ve only ever seen it in images with the Birds.
