Title: Todays Header-Mick & Keith.

I'm pretty sure this was "As Tears Go By" The Ed Sullivan show, they are dressed the same, (I have the video)  but maybe they did the same thing on the Clay show.

That does look like 'As Tears Go By'.
But it wasn't recorded until later in 1965, and wasn't performed on The Ed Sullivan Show until February 1966.

Mick and Keith wore jackets - 'As Tears Go By'

Maybe that pic is from the Sullivan rehearsal, and not the Clay Cole Show?

Yeah, you're right, the way they are dressed,  I always remember it from Ed Sullivan, it's probably from Clay Cole show after all.

Dunno.
I think you are right, HOS.

Nico's database says they played 6 songs on Clay Cole, but only lists two - 'The Last Time' and 'Little Red Rooster'.

Would they have performed an unrecorded and unreleased - by them at least - song?

Going by Bill Wyman's book "Stone Alone" where he kept a diary of all their dates up to '69, they did the Clay Cole show on May 3rd, but this was around the time that they were plugging "Last Time" as their new single & this was way before ATBY, they did the Sullivan show doing ATGY in Feb. 13th '66, so I don't know what's what.

Imagine...just a few minutes later...on the same spot...some jack in a leisure suit will be spinning plates on sticks...

I think I was wrong, according to "The Complete Works" http://www.nzentgraf.de in that show they played "The Last Time" and "Little Red Rooster" so that picture does NOT fit with that set, the day before they played at the Ed Sullivan TV show the same set plus "Everybody Needs Somebody To Love" so I think it was not Ed's

Anyway, this was the header

Having watched those Clay Cole shows, I only wish I could remember all the songs they performed. I know they did "Sitting On A Fence" on tv at that time with Mick and Keith on stools, but not sure if it was C.Cole or another one.

BTW - Does anybody have tapes of those shows? Have never seen them in circulation. They did songs from 12x5 and RS Now and took lame questions from teenage girls in the audience. All songs were lip synced.
