Hello My Stonesian Brothers and Sisters ....

Well , what can I say .... ?! Another Saturday Morning / Afternoon ..... Another Hangover ( Go Figure )
[ even had some nice weed last evening too ( Black Indigio from Amsterdam ) Mmmm ! ]

Andy O'Driscoll & Company ( ...otherwise known as the legendary " Stephen's Green " www.Stephens-Green.com ) were at the Brazen Head last night ( ..as you all know , Andy is the best Irish ballard singer on the planet --- too bad he can not Golf like that [ inside joke ... but funny ...... note : if Andy ' breaks ninety ' he is happy ] ] ) and the joint was on FIRE . A HOT Summer's evening brought out the fun & excitement in everyone and the Guinnesses ' just kept flowing ' which tends to make one dance and flip about most of the show ( thought I saw Gazza and Ade up front over by the stage BTW ) .

Anyway , the place was packed ( two deep at the West Bar ) and who showed up early but a one Keith " Dear Boy " Moon !!!! That 's right , Keith --- in between Brandy Alexanders and shots of GM -- wanted me to tell everyone , " Hi " and that both Mick and Keef are currently meeting ( sitting down ) and deciding just what it is they plan / want to do this fall / winter / rest of 2010 . Keith said it looks like a full blown ' Stones' Arena tour ' is in the works but do not count count out some stadiums shows ( aka : Macca's current summer tour ) . I asked Keith if he believes the current economic downturn might lower ticket costs and he just laughed braying , " here here ol' chap , you will pay anything to hear the boys , right ?! " Before I could nod me head in agreement a stunning red-head with enormous ' assets ' walked by on her way to the restroom giving Keith " The look " and he was off .... NOT to be seen again for the rest of the evening ( ...and it was only 10:30 CDT ) . Fortunately Keith made sure that I would not be in ' want of a drink ' for the rest of the night as a pint of Guinness suddenly appeared at the bar as well as back - to - back shots of " Irish Mist " . Lip Smackin' but DANGEROUS .

Now me Stonesian Kin , I would write more but it is nearly noon and I have not even taken a .........WAIT !!!! : :)

The Brazen Head defines schizophrenic identity for a restaurant/pub.
On one hand, wander in there at certain times and you'll see frat packs not even pretending to be classy, just there because it's close to campus and in a strip mall, which is what they live for. The girls probably just got fake tans a few shops down.

On the other hand, the ownership tries to keep it a classy, semi-authentic spot, even in a strip mall. The bar and some of their other furnishings were shipped in from Ireland, and they do a good job of bringing together Irish style food with American tastes. Their food rarely disappoints, and usually impresses. They offer the right beers, have special rooms for private gatherings, yet don't put on pretension. Overall, a pretty good spot most of the time, and definitely a place worth checking out.

Hm, I think I like this place because I got to see a fight there, and there were lots of hoochie girls here getting very wasted and stripper dancing and grinding on guys.

This is a departure from my normal scene and proved to be more entertaining than an art opening, punk show, or even mud wrestling.

Well, mud wrestling is actually more entertaining...

But Thursday is dollar drinks for pretty much anything you want. $1 for a shot of Jameson is pretty nice...
