I got to see Koko with Buddy Guy a couple years ago at Red Rocks. It was a very memorable night and I am thankful I got to be there.

What a loss this is to the music world. A grand lady with a glorious voice that could belt them out better than almost anyone. What a life she lived.

What a great header, Voo - sorry I missed it.
And the 'gem' Irina posted - truly an amazing find! Koko's funeral is tomorrow. There have been many tributes to her in Chitown this past week, but none will be more appropriate than what is planned for the annual Blues Festival that begins Friday and runs through the weekend....neither of which will be missed by your resident parmeda, I might add.
