LIND is the best song on ABB.
Wish they would have tried it live.

Haven't heard this song in at least 3 years and it still sounds good.

Great, great song - by some distance the best song on ABB - and a superb vocal performance (including the harmonies) by Mick.

Their failure to perform it live was a shocking waste.

Maybe they will play it on the next tour. Doubtful but hopefully.

i could see it in a small club or maybe an arena but, i don't think it would work at giant stadium.  kind of like moonlight mile...it doesn't have the guts for a stadium.

:wtf1

Yes, too bad it was the only song like that on ABB, very good production too, there's a guitar part that reminds me of Tops or Heaven on Tattoo and that's saying a lot. Could have been longer.

For the record, following a recent discussion with Gazza, he reminded me Mick had said in a 2006 interview that it had been written for the "Alfie" soundtrack.

Hell yeah, the first time I listened to it I ALMOST CRIED.  After that I listened to it first thing every morning for several months. I love the song.

Doesn't seem to be a problem for anyone else. And as Mick is a great performer, it shouldn't be a problem for him either.

They had no problem playing ballads in stadiums until recently - ie, back when they played to Stones audiences.

Nowadays, Mick won't play more than one ballad per show because he thinks he'll lose people's interest, as the average tourist or corporate fan seems to have the attention span of a gnat when it comes to non warhorses.

the ep cd version (long version) is different than on the album.  there is also an instrumental only b side of longer version single of biggest mistake that is out there

Biggest mistake has that that bridge riff that I go rewind play over rewind play over rewind play over rewind play over and what's he saying, Hey Pay Up Baby?  wtf?  song drives me nutz

vinyl bigger bang lp: http://www.auralexploits.com/product_1460.htm

Thanks didn't know that, that version certainly seems to have more edge than the CD version, need to source it!

Check out that part of the "review" in your link :
Quote:
This is their first studio album in 8 years and easily the band's best work since "Some Girls". "Streets Of Love" will be the first Top 40/Hot AC single & "Rough Justice" the first to rock radio. A return-to-basics that Stones fans have been waiting for.

What crap, I remember reading the same spin when DW came out, except it must have been the beft album since Exile at the time !
