Perhaps its my playing style, but I don't find that Strats and Teles sound hugely different, until they're played VERY hard on a clean-set amp. The Strat compresses the tone much more than the Tele. The Tele does kind of bite a bit harder with a little more clarity, and a bit more 'tone' andf sustain.

I find they FEEL very different. The Strat plays much faster than the Tele, but I find the Tele much more comfortable when I'm playing rhythm, comping or finger picking.

I still feel that the Tele is my favorite guitar, though. I like the simplicity and rugged construction, and I DO love the tone.

OK. The dog threads I can understand. But I've checked back on some of the pages since RO moved here. I can't see where most of the thread starts have been "spam". One man's Spam is another man's Sports..........I don't read sports threads. Much. But I don't care how many threads get started about sports. If a thread is a good thread it will generate discussion....if it ain't it won't.

As far as the I, Claudius thread.
IMO you don't get better acting than that this side of Hades. A little too long and drawn out for American audiences. But I f I were running an acting school, that film would be exhibit A.

you're missing the point. there are, what, two sports threads? all the sports discussion is confined to those threads. you don't see rob or some guy or winslow or anyone else starting new threads everytime the steelers win or the browns lose, do you? if they did, this board would be unreadable.

what you do is akin to someone walking through a park and throwing your garbage on the bike paths. then, when others ask you to put your garbage in the garbage can, you just throw more on the ground.
