More L'Wren..courtesy of Shidoobee's Rev Twenty Redlights

L'Wren's "Too Much Blood" Collection, plus more celebs wearing L'Wren, plus L'Wren party pic

"I hate being objectified. Because I am so tall, I have people telling
me what is wrong with me all day long. It's pretty awful. You have to
have a really great backbone and sense of self."

No, L'Wren is not talking about Stones fans on the internet, she's
talking about vicious petty fashionistas when she was a model,
though I agree its sometimes hard to tell the difference...

Lucy Liu and Madonna wearing L'Wren:

L'Wren saved all the money she made from baby-sitting and helping
with homework and, at 17, telling her parents she was visiting a friend
in New York, she bought a one-way ticket to Paris. "I really wanted to
work in fashion from the design point of view," she explains. "But I
knew I couldn't afford to be educated at fashion college." Instead,
her plan was to get into modelling and see what happened. She
arrived in Paris speaking no French, chose a hotel on the basis
that Jim Morrison had died there (obviously already something
of a rock groupie), changed her name to L'Wren Scott and gave
herself a week to meet all the people who mattered in fashion...

Renee Zelwegger, Nicole Kidman, and L'Wren wearing L'Wren:

Jagger showed he was ready to take the relationship with Scott
a step further when he chose his 60th birthday party in Prague
to make his first public appearance with her. A measure of her
understanding of him came in a telling gesture there. A friend
said: "L'Wren organised everything about the party. It was her
idea to fill it with sexy, mini-skirted girls on podiums for Mick's
enjoyment."

Nicky Haslam, L'Wren's close friend: "They scream with
laughter at the same things. They like the same food, the same
decor and the same people. Of all his partners, she's the one
who seems nearest to him and his tastes and the way he likes
to live. He loves her style, she's incredibly stylish, I think. She's
also very observant and witty, and he adores that."

L'Wren's Fall 2007 collection was called "Too Much Blood":

They are kindred spirits, according to a friend of Jagger: "They
both love the arts, cinema and fashion, and they have quiet
intellectual conversations. But both have a kind of recklessness,
which means they aren't afraid to try new things."

How wonderful for Mick to have finally hooked up with somebody
who isn't an eternally bitchy drama queen. Pic of the happy
couple celebrating 8 years together at L'Wren's post-show dance
party a few weeks ago:

Now that she's famous she should drop the L'Wren thing. Mellencamp worked it out.

For a "model", there sure aren't any pictures of her on the net!  You would think there would be at least a few hundred pictures of her modeling pictures!

When?  When was she ever a model?

I have never seen any of her pictures in any magazines.

During my twenties, I used to read them all Cosmopolitan, Glamour, Vogue, etc.  And, I never saw her picture!

I hate it when someone insults my intelligence!

Puh-leeze!

Mama always says, "You can't cover the sun with your finger!"

P.S. It's okay.  We still love you, L'Wren!  And, so does Mick!

She certainly was a model. She was discovered by Pretty Polly tights company and was their public 'face' for some time, as was Eva Herzigova. She was famous for the length of her legs.

I'd suggest the simple reason you've trouble finding photos online of her as a model was because they would have pre-internet...she was a model in the late 80s and early 90's.

The only “supermodels” that I remember from the late 80’s and early 90’s are Claudia Schiffer, Cindy Crawford, Kate Moss, Linda Evangelista, Naomi Campbell and Christy Turlington.

Kathy Ireland, Kim Alexis, Elle MacPherson, Paulina Porizkova, and Christie Brinkley were also famous models from that era.

Nowadays, Cindy Crawford stars in an informercial, peddling some anti-aging cream.

Linda Evangelista is also peddling an anti-aging cream for L’Oreal. (“Can you believe I’m 43?” she says.)

Elle MacPherson does commercials for a Revlon foot callous remover.

Noami Campell has been arrested several times for beating up several of her employees.

Kate Moss was arrested for doing cocaine.

Christie Brinkley’s husband cheated on her with a teenager.

And, Kim Alexis is starring on “Dancing with the Stars”.

This life is crazy!

P.S.  Famous Linda Evangelista’ quotes:

“I don’t get out of bed for less than $10,000 a day.”

“It was God who made me so beautiful.  If I weren’t, then I’d be a teacher.”

“I don’t diet, I just don’t eat as much as I’d like to.”

“I can do anything you want me to, as long as I don’t have to speak.”

I kinda like those designs, especially the conductor's jacket-inspired piece. Now I know where Mick got all those little jackets he wore for the ABB tour.

i like her....always have - so what if she's tall - she hasn't sold him out to the tabloids.
from the beginning, i could see that this was a very strong, independent and intelligent woman.
the mick and jerry thing never made sense to me - it was tawdry...i'm not saying it was necessarily, but that was the image jerry projected.
marianne made sense, so did bianca - they were tumultuous, but it made sense....
and l'wren makes sense.
she's smart and an equal - and at his age, that's what he needs.
you also notice that since he has been with her, he's not in the tabliods nearly as much -
i has to do with some grace in your life and i think he has seemed more dignified in the last few years.
she may be the one who keeps him - and not by 'taming' him, but by being able to coexist with him without losing her self-respect.
