the ice storm hit new paltz scl.  there were a lot of people without electric for a couple of days.  it was very picturesque tho.  tonight they are forecasting 1-3" of snow.  if this happens it will be the 1st snow in new paltz this year.

Someone just called to say that its 8 degrees below zero and there is and I quote "frozen snow fog" in cedar rapids iowa today!!~~~

13 degrees fahrenheit here today. Snowed, sleeted, then froze over the weekend. I'm gonna go hacksaw my way into my car now and slide over the river to Manhattan. Hey! Ho!

Roads horrible.
Never stopped snowing or blowing all day yesterday.

I bet we got a total of 2 feet of snow.

It got down to 18 a few nights ago here in Portland.  It's been freezing for over a week.  We've got about a foot of snow; very unusual for these parts.  Some East Coast transplant complained in a letter to the editor about the constant news coverage of the weather.  She noted that in Boston, where she came from, they get lots of this stuff but don't cover it on TV constantly.  She missed the obvious point:  in Boston (and even more in Buffalo), bad winter weather is a "Dog Bites Man" story.  In the Pacific Northwest, it's "Man Bites Dog."

It's 16 degrees now and as I look outside I see I have yet more snow to brush off the car.
Not too bad for a Buffalo morning.

Twas a Wicked Pissah Snow Weekend here in the Aruba of the North.
Snowed from 130P Friday to 630P Sunday, a good 18 inches of fluff.
Might as well get juiced, which, in a rare moment, I did!

Nasty shit going on just outside DC. 66 inch water main break has trapped people in their cars on a major road. Been watching CNN all morning while these people get rescued. So far it looks like they got everybody.

I left a balmy Atlanta in high 60's and am here in Canada an hour west of Toronto.Snow everywhere and cold.Roads are bad but hell Im not goin anywhere.Two grandsons 4 and 2 keepin me on my toes.Man those Chinese over  wrap them toys now I know where all the oil went.Happy holidays folks have one on me!

a couple of weeks ago i got 10" of snow and i thought, well this is it i'm in for a long winter.  today it is 65 degrees out.  go figure.
