Well, he was only the leader of the greatest group ever, but whatever . . . Lennon had a great many faults and was (still is) idolized to a degree he wasn't worthy of, but he was hardly a dweeb.
I love the Dirty Mac set for the simple reason there is zilcho footage of Lennon performing in that era. Mitch rocked it. RIP :'( |

Splitting hairs to preserve your street cred Starbuck?
Well, I don't want to start up the most endless debate this side of Taylor vs. Wood, but I'll recall the episode of the old TV show Night Court when John Larouquette's character hallucinated meeting God and the first thing he asked him was "Beatles or Stones"? I'll back off to "arguably greatest group ever" but refuse not to call a spade a spade. |

LOL..Well it was Charlie that punched Mick out wasnt it? I never cared for Lennons arrogance and hippy crap with Yoko "Oh""no". Guy was a talented genius no doubt but Ida busted those granny glasses of his face given half the chance. |

one of the few times Lennon's writing was bluesy was in Yer Blues - ironic that Keith is playing on this as The Stones are massively blues influenced.
as for Lennon's contradictory behaviour and faults, these should be taken separate from his art :blankfriggingstare1 |

So you WOULD hit a guy glasses?!! That's just not right. Despicable. At least grab the glasses first and stomp on 'em...and then hit him. That would be the gentlemanly thing to do. Besides if he can't see all that well he'd have a harder time hitting you back. |
