Assuming they play live again at soem point and Mick is doing the intros...Do you boo Ronnie for his recent actions? Dont think a Stone has ever been booed (well maybe that wacko German show in 63(?) that went ballistic).I personally think I would not boo just not cheer....

The problem I have with the Rolling Stones is that no matter what, I can't "stay mad" at them  :aimama

I'm worried that Ronnie is making sure we won't ever see them live again.

Was Keith booed for the horse conviction in '78?
Unless Ron has an OJ moment, where he's found
not guilty, and is still on a lifelong search for the killer,
what did he do to get booed?  The man's got an
addiction, which is clouding his judgment.
Wade Boggs had a sex addiction, this
did not keep millions of fans from cheering his
everytime at the plate, or, in the field.
Pete Rose still attracts fans daily, for gambling on sports.

Bill Wyman deflowering an underage girl in between the 81-82 and 89-90 tours didnt do his popularity any harm as I recall (in fact it probably made some of the more 'casual' audience members figure out who he actually was) so I cant imagine it being an issue as all he's been guilty of is being a bit of a dick.

Jesus, if audiences were going to jeer a band member for poking someone other than his long-suffering wife then that probbaly explains why they havent bothered introducing Mick all these years.

I'm with SV on this one. If he doesnt get his shit together, it'll be a moot point.

Well he's certainly well on the way to ending up like dying like one, which should keep thousands of like minded fans delighted....

Yes moot indeed. I really posted this topic a few weeks after the Ronnie thing broke to gauge folks contempt. There were some here quite vitriolic in their distaste for his actions.

Jealousy. I am sure most people wish they still had that kind of game in their 60's.

...and were duly rubbished as old fogeys/reactionaries/not real Stones fans for doing so.

All the Joey-style joking aside, I cant grasp why so many people take pleasure in the guy falling off the wagon again. The distaste for him chasing a young bit of skirt is based on one thing, really - the fact that he's embarrassed his wife in public. Anybody who has any grasp of what hes been like over the last 25 years must be aware that if it wasnt for Jo, he would have been worm food many years ago.

The whole laddish 'thats what a Stone should do' nonsense has got very lame. And as the Stones these days are about survival and longevity, not leaving a good looking young corpse, pretty inconsistent.

Good points. I always thought the reason a guy went into rock n roll was so they could get laid all the time by beautiful women...... and drink alot. I thought apart from the cash that might be a prime motivater. All those grueling hours of practice, mastering your instrument and all that work needs the big payoff at the end of the day.
