The Sex Pistols were the first!!! The Clash came after, I love the Clash, but it's the influence that's the root, I mean for that that sake, i could include The Damned, & a 100 other punk bands that happened, why don't you put up a poll & find out how many bands that's left out!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The first what? If it wasn't for the ramones playing london, none of those bands would have formed. I see your point, and the poll part of this question limits any real results, since there's more 2nd fav. bands than spots to name bands on this poll. Most polls are stupid anyway...
