GOIANIA, Brazil - Police on Thursday accused a Brazilian man of killing and dismembering his 17-year-old British girlfriend, taking pictures of her body parts with his cell phone and stuffing her torso in a suitcase. Officers found the suitcase with the torso of Cara Marie Burke at the edge of a river Monday in this central Brazilian city, Goias state police inspector Jorge Moreira da Silva said. Burke's boyfriend, Mohamed D'Ali Carvalho Santos, 20, was arrested and charged with homicide Thursday after "he confessed he cut her up and even photographed the body on his cellular phone," Silva said. One photo appeared to have been taken in a bathroom shower stall, showing Burke's severed head placed on the chest of her torso along with a bloody butcher knife. Silva said Santos confessed that was stabbed her to death on Saturday and dismembered her on Sunday because she threatened to tell his parents he was a drug dealer addicted to cocaine, and was considering turning him in to police. Burke met Santos in London, where his mother lives, and had visited Brazil before, Silva said. She had been in Brazil for about three months. Her friends identified her body from a tattoo on the torso. Police were still searching Thursday for Burke's head and limbs, which Santos said he hid in a rural area outside town. Taken out of his cell in handcuffs to be filmed by television crews, he held his head down and said nothing. Karine Neves, a spokeswoman for the British Embassy in Brasilia, said a British vice consul is in Goiania tracking the case and the police investigation |

Title: Re: Too Much Blood? Post by Zack on Jul 31st, 2008 at 9:32pm A friend of mine was this Japanese. He had a girlfriend in Paris. He tried to date her in six months and eventually she said yes. You know he took her to his apartment, cut off her head. Put the rest of her body in the refrigerator, ate her piece by piece. Put her in the refrigerator, put her in the freezer. And when he ate her and took her bones to the Bois de Boulogne, by chance a taxi driver noticed him burying the bones. You don't believe me? Truth is stranger than fiction. We drive through there every day. . . . Did you ever see 'Texas Chain Saw Massacre'? Horrible, wasn't it? You know people ask me: it is really true where you live in Texas, it is really true what they do around there, people? I say, "yeah everytime I drive through the crossroads I get scared there's a bloke running around with a fucking chain saw. Oh oh no, gonna, oh no. Don't saw off me leg, don't saw off me arm." When I get to the movies, you know I'd like to see something more romantic, you know. Like 'An Officer and a Gentleman' or something. Something you can take the wife to, you know what I mean? Worst Stones ever. |

By MARCO SIBAJA, Associated Press Writer
39 minutes ago GOIANIA, Brazil - The Brazilian man accused of dismembering a British teenager and stuffing her torso in a suitcase told The Associated Press on Friday that he doesn't remember most of what happened the night she died because he was high on cocaine. "I don't remember much," Mohamed D'Ali Carvalho Santos said in an interview through the bars of his jail cell. "I had used too much drugs." Earlier Friday, however, Santos denied that he killed her in comments he made to reporters after returning from a trip with police to guide them to the remote area where he allegedly tossed Cara Marie Burke's head and limbs from a bridge. "It wasn't me," Santos said. "I deny it." Police say the 20-year-old already confessed to killing 17-year-old Burke on July 25 before cutting up her body because she threatened to tell Santos' parents he was a drug dealer and addicted to cocaine. Police inspector Jorge Moreira da Silva said Friday that authorities are searching for a man named Jorge accused of helping Santos dispose of the body parts, but said that the man is not suspected of taking part in Burke's killing. Burke's torso was found Monday in the suitcase on the banks of a river in Goiania, about a two-hour drive from the Brazilian capital, Brasilia. During the trip to the site where the body parts were dumped, Santos became angry with reporters after he was asked if he remembered where he tossed the remains. "I threw her in your house," he snarled. After stabbing Burke to death, Santos attended a funk concert before returning to dismember her body, da Silva said. Detectives found blood in Santos' bedroom, living room and bathroom. A photo found in Santos cell phone appeared to have been taken in a shower stall. It showed Burke's severed head placed on the chest of her torso along with a bloody butcher knife. Police said Burke was Santos' girlfriend until several weeks ago, but the teenager's family insisted the two were never a couple. Burke's brother Michael told The Times of London that his sister had been due to return to London several weeks ago, but was injured in a motorcycle accident on the way to the airport. "My mum had paid for the ticket home and we were looking forward to having her back," he told the newspaper. Michael Burke said his sister traveled to Brazil three months ago with two Brazilian friends and met Santos after her arrival. "He met her out there. They were not a couple. They had only known each other for a short time," he told The Times. The BBC reported that Santos said in an interview that he was not Burke's boyfriend, and responded "not exactly" when asked if he had killed Burke in the way that Brazilian police described |

The totally sick ending to the story is that the Jap who killed the Dutch girl and ate her was extradited to Japan, ariving almost like a hero (to all those Japs with little dicks), never did serious time... he now does porno and was rumored to may have been involved in disappearance of some other women.
This post is based on a recent BBC documentaryon this case, recent. Sick, but true. Maybe the Stones should write a sequel to Too Much Blood, entitled Sympathy for the Jap-devil! |

I have always had mixed emotions (hic) about that song;
The funky disco beat seems a bit old school and out of place, considering it was 1983 and well past the era of "hot stuff" and "miss you". It is catchy as hell though. The lyrics are not the best that the Stones have ever released, they are a bit too gimicky. Though I have always found it kind of funny the way Mick just comes out with "cut off her head". Very camp. I like the single sleeve. Overall, I wouldn't skip the track if it randomly came on my ipod, however it wouldn't be my first choice of Stones track to listen to..... |

It's a great song. The monologues are hilarious and unique in the Stones catalog. This album continues to grow on me - wish the drum sound was a little less '83, but as a strong proponent of Dirty Work I can get used to weird 80s Stones drumsounds . . .
