he is scheduled to play at the chance in poughkeepsie, ny aug 25th.

i am not a huge ass fan, but i am looking forward to this show. has anyone here seen him in concert?

the chance holds about 2 thousand people, so this will be an intimate show.

even just to hear wango tango and stranglehold will be worth the 35 buck admission.

bob dylan played here about 3-4 years ago.........place was packed. sold out...way sold out
this joint is kind of like a cbgb's people. picture it more like a mini beacon theater. the only thing that sucks is that a bud is going to cost something close to 10 bucks......gotta learn to sip slow.

I confess... I saw him a couple of years ago - was forced to go, actually.

But I must admit he did entertain the masses - and not by his music, mind you.

The crazy fucker took out a crossbow (flaming arrow, of course) and had an image of Saddam (yeah, 'hang 'em high Saddam) and just demolished the thing.

Needless to say, all of the rednecks went completely into a frenzy.

For those that have never seen him it's the closest most people here will have ever gotten to a Klan meeting! The man went into a diatribe about being able to use the word nigger because black people use it. All this while the black security guards in front of the stage kept the "crazies" away! He loves the use of irony too. . . .he talks about how we need to support our foreign wars/troops while telling the IRS they need to get fucked! He really should do stand up. Have fun FOP!

Na not a forty. Its a crappy song about Fred Bear. One of Teddy's hunting heros. I go grouse or pheasant hunting a least once a year and I enjoy it. Everybody here knows how much I enjoy trout fishing. Ted just leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

'if you can't speak english get the fuck out of the country' so cried the 60 year old rifle waving uncle ted last night at the chance in poughkeepsie.
for a sixty year old fuck, his drummer and bass guitar play the guys put on, what i thout a great show last night.. its amazing how much noice three guys can create. ted sang thru a headset all night. the drummer was poised on a huge drum riser in the center of the stage and the bass player was on the right side. the backdrop was a huge picture of ted wearing a cut off denim shirt with a oval patch with the initial nra on it and he was pointing at you. it was a bare stage and not much of a light show but these guys put on an awesome 2 hour balls to the wall rock and roll show last night. i was suprised, rather amazed.
the opening act was a very attractive headbanging chick named alex winston and her band...this chick could do the head shake with her long brown locks like nobodys business. the did 4-5 songs. when it was time for ted to come out the lights went dim and then they played 1 of his preconcert song over the radio [i forget which one it was] and then the played street fighting man for about 1/2 the song and then the lights went really dim and the curtain rose and on came uncle ted.
and the rest is history.

this much i remember....................bud's were 4 dollars. water 1 dollar

the first song was snake skin cowboy which lasted like some 20 minutes and then they did a 20 minute wango tango and then into free for all. then they played a bunch of songs... the last 2 songs were cat scratch fever and then a great stranglehold...note for note.

even for the weary or the casual fan i say if they are coming to your neck of the woods go and see them.
