There must be some great "managers" that I've forgotten. The "manager" kind of doesn't exist as an institution anymore.

Andrew Oldham for me, if I had another choice would be Epstein, certainly not Klein, if he get's a vote at all, it's from somebody who doesn't know a thing about how the Stones got royally screwed by him, & continue, Mick should have be listed as a manager, after Klein he straighned The Stones business wise too.

Managing a band isn't just about the business end of it. It's being able to see the big picture and act on it ....whatever that is. And Mick is probably a kind of prototype of that. That's one of the problems of trying to pigeonhole the Rolling Stones.
