Anyways, if it makes you feel better, let me tell you what happened to ME:

I hurt my back when I was a teenager.  I am supposed to do stretch exercises for the rest of my life, but sometimes I get lazy!  

Anyways, I hadn't done my exercises in a while.  And, I had some boxes to move, and some ladders to climb at work.  (My job is usually sedentary, but occasionally I have to do physical labor.)  Anyways, I was fine all day, until the next day . . .  

MY BACK!  FUCK!  The pain started down my back to my ass, all the way down my leg to my foot!  I have tried everything!  Heating pads, massage therapy, pain killers, etc.  But, nothing works!  I'm fine when I'm lying down!  But, as soon as I try to walk . . . DAMN!  

Holland lost in the quarter-finals of Euro 2008 (football) to Russia, is what happened. And Egon has the right to doublefuck, seeing how Holland and Italy kicked France's arse earlier as well.

I fell at work yesterday. Ok, so I work at a day care with school aged kids. I'm 55, small and very active and don't look {or act!} my age. So, we were playing kickball and I was running backwards, trying to catch the ball. My foot hit a clump of grass and I went down, butt first, but my head hit the hard packed dirt really hard. Whoa. Saw stars for a second. But, dumb me, I just got up, brushed myself off, and went back to playing. :) I'm a bit sore today, but the head's good. Guess I have a hard head! And I don't seem to be any more brain dead than usual, so I guess all's well that ends well. {and my "end" feels ok too! ;)}

Should be a good Wimbledon. :) It's my favorite Grand Slam, although I think the French is the hardest to win.

I was a HUGE Borg fan. Got to spend a lot of time with him back in '79, in between his Wimbledon wins. Seems like someone is always going for his records nowadays. Roger could win 6 in a row, Raffa could be the first since '80 {and Borg} to win the French and W. in one year.

My favorite Wimbledon was 1980. Borg winning his 5th. And my fave girl, Evonne Goolagong Cawley winning her second--and the first mother to do so! :)

No. Thats a separate tournament. The European Championship is played in between World Cups.

European Championships 2008 - Qualifying groups run from second half of 2006 (after the 2006 World Cup) until the end of 2007. Finals in June 2008.

World Cup 2010 - Qualifying groups run second half of 2008 until late 2009. Finals in June 2010 (in South Africa)

Uruguay won the first one, in 1930 and won again in 1950
Italy in 1934, 1938, 1982 and 2006
West Germany in 1954, 1974 and 1990
Brazil have won a record 5 times - 1958,1962,1970,1994,2002
England in 1966
Argentina in 1978 and 1986
France in 1998.

There were no tournaments in 1942 or 1946 due to WWII.
