I'm a huge Winos fan. Anyone else? [smiley=cool.gif]

Can't stand 'em, much prefer Mick's band for "Shes the Boss"

WHAT A BAND, listening to old shows shows us that, only gripe is that Keith didn't mix up the set more (I know I know) but it was truly a BAND with the whole greater than the sum of its parts.  Listenin to this lately:

I'd much rather see the Winos than the Stones! More small and intimate. [smiley=laugh.gif]

Winos Rule You Bastards!

I'm baaaaaaack...

Saw Winos two nights in a row with our very own Saint Sway in 1991. Two absolutely fabulous nights.

Keith and S. Jordan did a show in Sirius radio a few months back where they both agreed - this is 2008 mind you - that a Winos reunion was "inevitable". Didn't say whether it was album or tour or both, but that would be amazing. Not sure Keith could pull that off in his current age and condition, but let's face it...he's surprised us before.

I love the XpensiveWinos, I'd sure like better a new CD/tour from them than from the Stones...
But I'm not so sure it could happen since Keith is not able to sing and play guitar at the same time anymore...
Maybe he's just gonna wander around the stage like in You Got the Silver from SAL.
:wtf1

I saw them in 1988 and then again in 1992. What a band. When they did "Gimme Shelter", I almost cried from joy. [smiley=laugh.gif]

I'm so-so on the Wino's. There are some great tracks on both Talk Is Cheap and Main Offender, but neither enthral me. I do think Hate It When You Leave is particularly good however.

I think if you saw them live (with Sarah Dash) you might change your mind from "so-so". I do agree, the records are no way as great as the live concerts. [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

There is a killer version of Gimme Shelter on the b-side of the Eileen single.

saw them in Cleveland the night after Roy Orbison died. Keith dedicated How I Wish You Were Here Again to him. really good show.

my seat was right in front of the soundboard. had to help the soundman clean and dry the board after some idiot knocked a beer off the upper balcony and it spilled straight on and in the board. Luckily it still worked.
