How many RO denizens have tattoos?  No, owning a copy of "Tattoo You" doesn't count.

Second question:  Did any of the Stones, past or present, get tattooed?  There may be a difference in how/when they were raised, and in what they have wrought.

Put down your age or decade (40s, 50s, etc.) - let's see if the younger fans have more tats.  Also list the age/decade in which you were first tattooed.

I thought of this when a friend said, "I'm surprised you don't have that tongue tattooed on your arm."  Non, mon ami - eet ees on mah heart!

And yes, one of my tatts is the Stones tongue.

If the tattoo craze had started in the 80s, when I was in college, I probably would have gotten the tongue.  It's why I'm asking ages/decades - the farther back one goes, I suspect, the less likely one has tattoos - like, I think, all of the Stones.  Slash has tattoos; Keith does not.

My friend is right, though - the tongue would be top-of-the-list, had anybody brought it up in college.  But nobody did - not even Billy Idol had tattoos, then.  Darby Crash?  Bet he went out without a single tat.  Ian Curtis?  Lou Reed?  Maybe Lemmy had tats in the 80s.  I bet "Tattoo You" inspired a disappointing number of tats, compared to what it would have done for the tattoo business if released more recently.

If I could construct the poll over again, I'd have age categories built in:

50s - Yes
50s - No
40s - Yes
40s - No

etc.

I'm 40. I have tats and none are Stones related... I do have two Einstrusende Nuebauten tats... Go figure!

Luckily I don't have the name spelled...lol. I always have to look up the correct spelling if i want to get it correct.

I have been wanting a tattoo for years, but never seem to get around to doin' it.  I'm obsessed with crosses, so who knows, I would love the Stones logo
