One left out is David Bowie, maybe not in action today, I don't know if he's retired, but in the 70's, he was a theatrical frontman, one of the best at that, he commanded a stage like no other, next to Jagger.

If you ask me for the best guitarist, bassist, keyboardist, drummer, etc I won't mention a Rolling Stones member as the one at the top, but come on!! Mick Jagger is by far the number one above all including the King

I think those who voted by others probably didn't see that Mick Jagger was on the list

Aerosmith's Steve Tyler still a hit with the ladies - at 60!
28/04/2008 mirror.co.uk Wrinkly rocker Steve Tyler has just hit 60 - but he's still a hit with the groupies. The Aerosmith frontman had a wild time surrounded by an entourage of buxom admirers who followed him everywhere. We're told: "He was so proud of all these young women flocking to him, he went to a beer tent for non-VIP revellers so they could admire his pulling skills." |

Right On! He's one of the greatest front men and artists ever, the stooges created like 20 genres outta 3 albums! As good as the stones are, and my 2nd favourite band, they created rock n roll, and rock n roll excess, thats it, they folowed trends, they may have done them pretty damn good (cherry oh baby being better than the original or hey negriat etc - and thats just reggae) but they didnt create them iggys a highly original artist, and not only msucially but he practically invented stage craft, things like stage dives and crowd abuse, and hes a survivor, he stilll puts himself thru the same jumping around, dancing, stage diving etc that ppl half his age wouldnt even do also Vince Neil - a punk? yeh sure, a wannnabe, and if nething influenced more by the New York Dolls HJW (my vote went to jim morrison, i think i voted jagger on the last one) |
