IMPORTANT NOTE: Apparently this was NOT a part of the tour but the highest paid rehearsals, thanks Peter it was a pleasure!

DEAR PETER.

You had here the biggest income and the smallest expenses and so, the biggest profit, and now you forgot to mention that Mexico City was part of the tour as in the written notes of the new DVD “Growing Up Live” we can read the following “nice” comment:

“Having already performed in thirty two cities across the USA, Canada and Europe, with twelve trucks and a crew of sixty….”

So Mexico didn’t count having the following FACTS:

·        The highest prices of the whole tour.

·        The only three-stops city in the whole tour.

·        The biggest audience 30,000+.

·        The fans making the biggest effort to buy tickets, as our economy is probably one of the worse if not the worst of all the countries you visited in this tour.

·        The fastest sold out, even that it was for the biggest amount of tickets and at the highest prices and at the worst economoy.

·        No full stage (the one designed by you and Robert Lepage) well at least we had the Growing Up sphere and the Barry Williams filming routines.

·        No opening acts.

·        No Blind Boys or any other guest on stage.

So it proves that it was the biggest profit of the whole word tour, and it’s not credited or remembered in the official souvenir of the tour, that’s why I dare to say it was the highest paid rehearsals in the whole story or music.

But more important: You forgot us, you forgot real loyal and passionate fans, no matter that you had one of the best audiences in the world here and I can say it not just because I have seen you in other countries and in other tours but in the very own words of Tony Levin in his first tour diary notes: We've arrived in Mexico City to do three concerts here. It's one of my favorite places to perform - the audiences are very passionate, and knowledgeable about progressive music (and big supporters of Peter's music.)”  and I'm sure you know it, I don't need to give you details, so give your production staff a spanking from me (or give it to yourself LOL)

I’m taking offence from you Peter and/or your production staff, apparently no big deal but it hurts… Well, at least now we can pay $45.00 USD to buy the DVD and see what we missed.

Thanks Peter!

With full respect, admiration but sad and a little bit disappointed.

Gerardo Liedo

PS. This is the second tour in which you play Mexico City without the full stage and all of that brilliant technology, and we don’t care as we’re only in it for the music.
