The Faces are playing the first of a handful of dates this weekend.
Genesis Publications posted this today:

The Faces Rehearse For Summer Tour

Genesis were incredibly fortunate to be invited along to the Faces' rehearsal yesterday (29th June) ahead of the band headlining the Cornbury Music Festival this Saturday, 2nd July. They blasted through Small Faces classics 'Tin Soldier' and 'All Or Nothing' as well as the classic cover of 'Maybe I'm Amazed'.

Mick Hucknall's the singer.
Check him out with Ronnie and Kenney on last week's "BBC Breakfast".

If they're half as good as they were last year, they'll still be 2x better than plenty of other acts...

I agree, check the youTube vids with Hucknall.  He more than holds his own on those tunes.  If Rod's not going to join the band so be it.

And I find this a lot more interesting that SuperHeavy.

Ronnie Wood brings son Jesse into the Faces lineup; band launches 2011 tour

-Carla Hay, Rolling Stones Examiner

The Faces kicked off their 2011 tour on July 2 at the Cornbury Festival in Oxfordshire, England. And the band's touring lineup now includes guitarist Ronnie Wood's eldest son, Jesse Wood, who is a second guitarist for the band. Backstage at the Cornbury Festival, Jesse posed for band photos with the Faces. And as these photos from the Faces rehearsals indicate, Jesse Wood has been rehearsing with the Faces for their 2011 tour.

Jesse Wood has performed with the Faces before, but it seems he has been officially welcomed to the fold as a regular member of the Faces touring lineup. In its February 2011 issue, Uncut magazine published an interview with recovering addict/alcoholic Ronnie saying that he was helping Jesse through rehab. Ronnie and Jesse Wood working together may be part of their recovery process.

The other members of the revamped Faces lineup are original Faces member Ian McLagan on keyboards, Simpy Red singer Mick Hucknall on lead vocals (since former Faces singer Rod Stewart declined to participate in the Faces reunion), Glen Matlock of Sex Pistols fame on bass, and drummer/original Faces member Kenney Jones, who was the Who's drummer for several years.

Ronnie Wood was in the Faces before he joined the Rolling Stones in the mid-1970s. The revamped Faces lineup did a tour in 2010, and they have several tour dates in 2011.

As previously reported, the Faces taped an appearance on BBC Two's "The Rob Brydon Show" at Teddington Studios in London on July 1, 2011. The episode will be televised on a date to be announced. On "The Rob Brydon Show," comedian/host Brydon interviewed Wood and Hucknall. Later, the Faces (with Jesse Wood) performed "Stay With Me" on the show.

Although Stewart was rumored to make a "surprise appearance" with the Faces on stage at their Cornbury Festival show, an appearance by Stewart did not happen. As previously reported, on June 26, 2011, Ronnie Wood reunited on stage with Stewart when the two performed together at the 2011 Hard Rock Calling Festival, which took place at Hyde Park in London. Wood made a guest appearance during Stewart's set, and the former band mates did two songs together: the Faces' "Stay With Me" and Stewart's No. 1 hit "Maggie May."

In addition to the 2011 tour, the Faces have an authorized book made with the participation of Ronnie Wood, Jones and McLagan. As previously reported, the official limited edition Faces book titled "Faces 1969-75" goes on sale from Genesis Publications in September 2011. More details and online orders are available at the Genesis Publications website.

Here are the Faces 2011 tour dates announced so far:

July 2, 2011: Cornbury Festival - Oxfordshire, England
July 8, 2011: Bospop - Weert, Netherlands
July 9, 2011: TW Classic - Werchter, Belgium
July 23, 2011: Hurtwood Park Polo Club - Ewhurst, Surrey, England
July 30, 2011: Fuji Rock Festival - Niigata Prefecture, Japan

Previously annnounced Faces 2011 tour dates in Germany (July 16 in Stuttgart, July 17 in Düsseldorf and July 19 in Berlin) have been cancelled.

Glen Matlock, the guy just finds a way to look a fool. What is with that ascot? The British country gentleman? The uncoolest guy in rock, who plays with two of the coolest bands in history.

A book on the Faces; I say - 'Finally!'. And then I see it's by those people from Genesis who turn loving your band into a business investment.

Thank you for posting the pictures. I have little interest in the Faces, but would've loved to hear their renditions of Tin Soldier and All Or Nothing - two absolute 60's classics.

The Faces: Cornbury Festival

Wednesday 6th July 2011
By Reg Little

http://www.oxfordtimes.co.uk/resources/images/1704353/

After Cornbury Festival suffered “financial meltdown”, many feared that it was gone for good. But that was to underestimate Hugh Phillimore’s fanatical commitment to “his baby,” which in its eighth year was transplanted down the road to Great Tew Park.

With glorious surroundings, lovely sunshine and an impressive bill stretching over three days, ‘Poshstock’ fittingly managed to bring us a truly great band that few expected to see perform again. The Faces, headliners on Saturday, split up in the mid-70s when Ronnie Wood joined the Stones and Rod Stewart went solo. Stewart’s foolish refusal to join the party suggested a reunion might never happen — until Wood and company decided to recruit Mick Hucknall of Simply Red and ex-Sex Pistols bass player Glen Matlock for a handful of dates.

At Cornbury, the Faces were finally able to lay to rest the idea they had just been Stewart’s backing band. They were sensational in a way the Stones could never be without Mick, or Zeppelin without Plant.

Hitting their stride with a raucous Miss Judy’s Farm, they ploughed through a back catalogue that included hits (Cindy Incidentally), superb covers (Maybe I’m Amazed) and memorable tributes to late member Ronnie Lane (Ooh La La and Debris). There was even an encore of Small Faces songs (Tin Soldier and All Or Nothing), to remind us that Ian McLagan and Kenney Jones belonged to two legendary bands.

Taking centre stage for much of the show, Ronnie Wood’s guitar playing was blistering, never more so than on I’d Rather Go Blind and I’m Losing You, two great Faces songs that Stewart managed to nab for his own (and best) albums.

As for Hucknall, faced with replacing one of rock’s most distinctive voices but without Rod’s distinctive stage presence, he simply sang his heart out, hitting high notes I fear today’s Rod would struggle with. I saw Stewart at Newbury a month ago. The Faces did not win on points — it was a knockout.

The Oxford Times

Rave review. Sure hope they'll take this thing stateside - and soon.
