The single from
Ronnie Wood's upcoming solo album "I Feel Like Playing" is slated for release at radio on September 14, 2010. Wood, who has been in the band for 35 years, will be releasing the album two weeks later on September 28, 2010.
The album will feature several guest artists including Kris Kristofferson, keyboardist Ian McLagan of The Faces, and soul singer Bobby Womack. Wood has previously worked with Womack extensively, and he inducted him into the Rock And Roll Hall of Fame in 2009.
Fans hear new Wood tracks like "Thing About You," with its straight-ahead shuffle feel.
His past releases include "Gimme Some Neck," "1234," "Not For Beginners," "Slide on This," "I've Got My Own Album To Do," and "The Essential Crossexion."
Wood, also known for his work with The Faces and Jeff Beck Group, is releasing the album through Eagle Rock Entertainment, which also released the film "Stone In Exile," documenting the Rolling Stones' album "Exile on Main St." earlier this year.
