then says the song went to Island studios and Keith said to Ronnie 'like that song you did IORR and I took the precaution of removing all your guitars from it.' Ronnie said 'he did overlook my 12 string which still on the original'

I certainly don't see it that way for sure, my top era's of the Stones was when Brian & Mick T. was in the band, in the last few decades Ronnie has been covering Brian (not bad on the different instruments) & Mick T. (not very good) parts live, he did contribute to a few albums when he was with The Stones or I should say, when he is with The Stones.

Rolling Stones guitarist Ron Wood's new single slated for radio

The single from Ronnie Wood's upcoming solo album "I Feel Like Playing" is slated for release at radio on September 14, 2010. Wood, who has been in the band for 35 years, will be releasing the album two weeks later on September 28, 2010.

The album will feature several guest artists including Kris Kristofferson, keyboardist Ian McLagan of The Faces, and soul singer Bobby Womack. Wood has previously worked with Womack extensively, and he inducted him into the Rock And Roll Hall of Fame in 2009.

Fans hear new Wood tracks like "Thing About You," with its straight-ahead shuffle feel.

His past releases include "Gimme Some Neck," "1234," "Not For Beginners," "Slide on This," "I've Got My Own Album To Do," and "The Essential Crossexion."

Wood, also known for his work with The Faces and Jeff Beck Group, is releasing the album through Eagle Rock Entertainment, which also released the film "Stone In Exile," documenting the Rolling Stones' album "Exile on Main St." earlier this year.

In all seriousness, if the Stones decided to dump Ronnie at this point of their career - which I frankly don't see happening - it would be the silliest thing they could do. I mean, now? What for? It's not as if Woody's relapses or problems are exactly a surprise element in this band. And replace him with whom - don't tell me some of you guys are still having Mick Taylor fantasies. Oh no! not you again

So, should they replace him with a session musician? And then what, tour as a three-piece? Or find someone else - for how many years exactly? Roll Eyes

ROCKER Ronnie Wood has confessed he was once so hooked on drugs he mistakenly smoked MERINGUE instead of crack cocaine.

The Rolling Stones guitarist - who had a £3,000-a-day freebase coke habit in the 1980s - revealed yesterday: "It got to the point where I would be on my hands and knees looking for crumbs that might have fallen out of the crack pipe. "I even banned my children eating meringues in the house after I ended up smoking sugar, believing it to be cocaine."

But Ronnie, 63, said in an interview that booze was an even worse problem. Two years ago he was downing two bottles of vodka A DAY.

The rocker, who checked into rehab seven times in 30 years, says he has been sober for six months now and credits new girlfriend Ana Araujo with his success after she poured away all the alcohol in his house.

Hellraiser Ronnie - dumped by wife Jo when he had a short-lived affair with Russian barmaid Katerina Ivanova, 22 - said: "It was just a downward spiral. When the last bottle went, it was the end of an era. Something clicked in me."
