From an interview with Metallica guitarist Kirk Hammett:

We're gonna be playing with Ray Davies -- we're gonna be playing 'You Really Got Me' with him; we're gonna be playing with Lou Reed, we're gonna be playing a Lou Reed song; and then we're gonna be playing with Ozzy, we're gonna be playing a Black Sabbath song. And it should be a lot of fun."

Since Lou Reed will be in the house maybe he'll reprise 'Satellite Of Love' with U2.

Live and in person... Cool

According to a poster on Greasy Lake, Bruce and the E Street Band will be joined by Darlene Love, Sam Moore, Tom Morello and Billy Joel.

The HBO broadcast is four hours long, apparently.

I read that somewhere. Tongue
Well, except the Billy Joel part...

Some great Tweets are coming out of the show.

There was a long video montage of past HOF jams, then Tom Hanks introduced Jerry Lee Lewis who played “Whole Lotta Shakin”
CSN (with Steven Stills) did “Woodstock” “Marrakesh” “Almost Cut My Hair” then Crosby said, “I’d like to bring out my favorite singer, Bonnie Raitt and they did “Love Has No Pride”. CSN then did “Midnight Rider” (it’s the anniversary of Duane Allman’s death.

Jackson Browne did “The Pretender” and as he was finishing, James Taylor stolled onstage, acoustic in hand fingerpicking the intro to “Mexico”. James stayed on stage to contribute to perfect 4-part harmonies on CSN’s “Love the One You’re With”. Then Bonnie and James came back to join in on “Teach Your Children.”
Paul Simon opened with “Diamonds on the Souls of Her Shoes”, “Me and Julio” and “You Can Call Me Al”. Simon brought out Dion who sang “The Wanderer” then CSN cam back to join Simon singing “Here Comes the Sun” –tribute to George Harrison.
Garfunkel joined Paul Simon and they did “Sounds of Silence”, “Mrs. Robinson”, “The Boxer”, “Bridge Over Troubled Water”

Stevie Wonder on now doing acoustic “Blowin In The Wind”

Sounds like a great show so far. Stevie's did "Uptight" then "Signed, Sealed, Delivered".

In the press room CSN tell said they've recorded Dylan's "Girl from the North Country" and the Stones' "Ruby Tuesday" for an upcoming covers album

Doing a search for show reports I somehow ended up on the wall street journal blog. But here's their latest report on Stevie's set:
10:35 — Smokey Robinson joins Stevie, and they sing “Tracks of my Tears.” Is it wrong that I cringe every time the overly plastic-surgeried Robinson sings the lyric: “Take a good look at my face”?

10:40 — John Legend comes out to join Stevie for “Mercy Mercy Me.”

He does....I'm glad they opened the show with him.

I guess Stevie Wonder was overcome with emotion on the MJ song and led the crowd in a "long live Michael Jackson" chant.
