Band photographer Alec Byrne of Encino, California thought he would never again see color photos he took of The Rolling Stones during the 1960s and 1970s

Many of his photos were destroyed in fires, floods and earthquakes while others were never returned by magazines he had worked with

Linda Switzer in Macau, China contacted Byrne after watching DailyMailTV interview him about his book 'London Rock: The Unseen Archive'

Her sister Kathy had worked at a Los Angeles magazine in the early 1970s and was told to throw out color photos of The Rolling Stones from a filing cabinet

Kathy gave them to Stones fan Linda. Byrne's name was on them. Linda has now sent the photos to Byrne who will use them in an upcoming exhibition

They show The Rolling Stones performing on stage and also band members in exclusive portrait sessions at the office of their London publicist

It's amazing how similar Jones and Jagger look in OP's photo, the nose, the lips, the eyes, surely they were eighth cousins or something of the sort

If we didn't know who they were and somebody said they were brothers we wouldn't bat an eye
