Just got home. Superb gig. No first night rust at all.

Paranoid Android and I doubled up on lucky dips...mine were so-so seats...his were No Filter Pit on Keith's side. Result!

The show clocked in around 2 hours. Considering what was rehearsed, it was a bit underwhelming in some ways to just get 19 songs and no major surprises other than 'Neighbours' but it would be churlish to complain about a performance that was as good as that. I really dont know how they do it.

Highlights for me were a really lovely 'Wild Horses' and a gloriously nasty 'Midnight Rambler'

One of Keith's daughters (I think it was Alexandra, I can never tell them apart) was standing near me and when she walked past me during 'The Worst' I said to her 'the old man's not doing too bad tonight, is he?' which seemed to give her a giggle

My first Stones gig in four years and it was just wonderful to see so many old friends again and meet some new ones.

Still buzzing. Hope I can get to sleep.

I think that's by Sweet Virginia. Although there were a few other people who joined in and took a similar snap.

A nice souvenir of an amazing day. There wont be too many of these left unfortunately but every Stones trip brings back enough memories to last a lifetime. And the fans are as big a part of it as the band are.

Thanks Bitch...you have no idea how nerve-racking it was as we had to literally pick our envelopes out of a box...When I opened my envelope, I felt like the kid in Willy Wanker...there was every chance I could have picked the worst seats available...though it seems many seats were lower level in front of the corners...as many folks ended up there...still a bargain

After the VIP party...to get to the pit, proved a bit administratively challenging...

But once we got there...it looked like this:
