This is odd, I thought Gazza said there are no hurricanes over there. Well I hope they don't get it too bad.

Many of my co-workers in Cork IR coudln't make it into work...lots of outages and such...We were asked to come in early today to pick up so those who came in could go home early...a few deaths reported already...

Thanks for asking. Luckily, it was barely a stiff breeze where I am. Warnings that it could be comparable to the hurricane we got exactly 30 years ago were unfounded. But we got sent home from work yesterday at 11.15 am as a precaution.

The very south and west of Ireland got the worst of it , but - as expected - it wasnt a hurricane by the time it hit land.

To be honest, compared to what Puerto Rico and the south west of the US have had to deal with in recent weeks, it was a bit embarrassing to see people getting worked up about it.

Apparently, theres another one on the way and its going to be called Hurricane Brian. How the fuck do they expect people to take this seriously with a name like that?
